Post pictures of your city/town (that you took yourself).

This is kind of like my 'The World Outside Your Window' thread, except for that I want you guys to post a pic of some place in your city/town that you took yourself with your/someone elses digital camera.

My village, taken a few months ago at the bottom where my drive is, by which time I was freezing to death in my ill-equipped atire:

Yorkshire can be heart-breakingly beautiful, if only the general people were half-decent...

Wow! That looks really nice and kind of eerie looking, but still nice. Your town looks like the setting of a horror movie.

Are all the houses there made out of brick or something? Laughing

^ Wow, I wouldn't mind in a place like that. Smile

I need to get some pictures up. This place is so small though that I could get the entire town in 2 pics.

Okay, I'm exaggerating, it would more like 4.

Your village is beautiful, Aalto.

Here's one taken from one of the tallest skyscrapers in Chicago... though I don't even live in Illinois... the photo was taken while on a trip.

Wow! Thanks everyone. I have a great belonging in my village.

Well, I don't have any friends per se there, but once you've gone into that valley from all the eyesoreish small towns where you cannot feel safe you become pretty infatuated by all the beauty around you. The houses are set out in brick form but are made of stone. I'm probably just taking offense of them being called brick as I take moral offense at red brick structures. :B

I'm very flattered though. My house is the one poking from the right-hand terrace, near the top-right. Shall I post a few more? I took a series of mediocre photos of my area once an American friend was interested.

Now I just want to collapse in some heather...
