ain't that the the truth. '
But that leads me to a semi-random subject. My eyesight is pretty terrible, so I tried to get contacts. I forget what type of person I am (either near-sighted or far-sighted) and apparently the type of "sighted" I am isn't supported by contacts. So now, while I do have a pair of glasses to drive with, I have to put them on if I want to appreciate looking at something nice, such as a sunset. I'm not really too fond of the glasses, it's just not me. (although girls tell me I look better in them haha) |

I know of quite a few aspies who seem to hate wearing glasses, maybe its because we over worry what others think...
My eye sight was more than pretty terrible, after having to have operations on both of my eyes to keep my sight now can see better than before, amazing really as use to have to always wear glasses, contacts to see... hated my glasses but then were extremely thick, even though had thinned out at great cost still would only wear lenses in public for years, guess never had the confidence in myself... still seem to have found that with finding aspergers and now wear glasses only for reading etc... and do not mind at all.
The seeing detail bit - I have always done, its like I feel us aspies often see things others do not, notice patterns etc... I can remember many a time growing up when I was just watching some think like the sand slowly move and everyone else as always was losing patience with me to hurry up - "its just sand" but to me it was a whole world of fascination.... I always see more where ever I look, maybe I just see differently, but do also tend to see in pictures - one of my many associated conditions is dyslexia... _________________ "Believe in your self, we are who we are - as it can feel like an endless task trying to be someone else!"
