| My brother and I were both so bad about it that our mom had to throw certain movies away. One was a Peewee Herman Marathon our parents recorded in 1988 or 89, and there were also the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons. These became obsessions. One thing that used to infuriate Mom was when we were listening to a tape or watching a video and would rewind and play back the same part over and over and over again. I still don't see why this upsets people. |

"Dirty Dancing"
I remember the girls in my class used to force the boys to dance the same way.
Pretty embarrasing... |

Andre?
Yes I did, but only Disney films, they are all I watched over and over and over and over.
I still do it when I get a film I fall in love with, I'll watch it solidly for two for three weeks every day sometimes twice. |

Yeah, but I think all kids do that to some degree. _________________ Curiosity is not a mental illness. |

When the first Inspector Gadget movie first came out on VHS, I rented it and I watched it at least nine times in a row, and watched it plenty more until it was due back. _________________ www.Last.fm/user/BadMoonReaper

Yes and no. See, I didn't have cable so all we had was a small collection of VHS and DVD videos that we collected over the years. I don't remember all of them off the top of my head, but I know for a fact that I have those movies memorized. The ones I remember are a handful of the Disney movies, Pretty Woman, and I had this wonderful video that had around 6 hours worth of vintage cartoons. It was magical. Whenever I see any of those movies on tv I watch them and it still makes me really happy. |

yeah, kids of a certain age do that, NT or AS. My granddaughter; it's Happy Feet, Mary Poppins, and Peter Pan (the latest one).
My nephew was Beetlejuice.
I have faves, some are off the wall (I've seen Robinson Crusoe on Mars at least 8 times, I don't know why... and the Princess Bride, Monty Python movies, and Young Frankenstein... But I have this thing about not watching things over and over... |

| I rarely watch a movie over and over. Usually after the first time I watch it I don't watch it anymore. Sometimes I'll watch it again. One movie that i'll never get tired of watching though is "Friday". |

Does seeing The Mask 14 times in the theatre count?
We didn't have video when I was a kid (lucky for my mom). When The Mask came out on video, one of my coworkers said her kid watched it over and over and over. Good movie.
When my brother and I started buying music, we listened to it over and over and over. Typical teen thing. (not so lucky for my mom)
On the other hand, I don't like hiking the same trail over and over again. Everything's got to be new territory. |

Agreed. Most kids seem to get really obsessed over certain toys/books/movies. It's pretty typical for a kid to want to watch a favorite movie over and over. |
