and why would my being in an accident make any difference other than the potential for me to not be able to look at the situation objectively? |
Actually, it would give you more evidence to be afraid of the stupid (expletive) that are currently clogging up the roads like so many cholesterol masses in a atherosclerotic blood vessel. |
i drive defensively and normally pick out dangerous drivers and avoid them before such a point as collision.
there's a ton of stupid people on the roads drunk or not. it doesn't really come into my mind about if they're drunk or not unless they're weaving and can't stay in their lane. |

to the OP; why don't you go ahead and get buzzed and go out driving. If you happen to wrap your car around a telephone pole or kill a newlywed couple with a child on the way, don't come crying to us. _________________ I used to be a Mohel but had to quit because I was only paid in tips

the few times i have ended up in situations like that, i've been fine. i drive straight as an arrow and normally am more cautious just because every other driver on the road gets carte blanche if they hit me. if you're above the legal limit and get in an accident where the other person would be in the wrong, you're still written up as in the wrong and they get away with nothing...that's quite possibly also a way to inflate statistics for drunk drivers who get in accidents. |
