I am in Plano, TX which is north of Dallas. I need to make new friends. I have tried to re associate with people I knew in high school, but they are basically out of state now or have become lying, drugged up assholes that I don't want to be around. I do have a few friends that are great, but am thinking lately that I could use some more growth from social interactions.

That's not too far. I have visited Houston several times. They drive like madmen there, for real! Everyone needs to get on everyone else back end and it just seems like an aweful waste of gas with the constant stop and go procedure. If you try and drive sanely and at a constant pace, people will honk, flip you off, and pass you by, thereby reaching the next stoplight a whole one car length ahead. Nonsense I tell you, but otherwise yes it is a nice place to visit.

I live in Houston during the summer and the Christmas holidays, but go to school in San Marcos (between Austin and San Antonio).
I had lived in Wichita Falls (northwest of DFW) for a year recently.
I'd rather be in Seattle, San Francisco, or New York.
