They have the entire film on youtube if you search it (I'm not attaching because they might remove it, don't know of copyright). It was fantastic dystopia that George Lucas did before Star Wars.

Watch the original version, not the more recent Director's Cut. Lucas decided to change it by adding some REALLY out of place looking CGI towards the end. Seriously, there's a shot of a car driving that's completely CGI and looks TERRIBLE and doesn't even look like it should be in the film. It's fascinating, though, to see the stark contrast between Old Lucas and New Lucas.

...I saw it on TV a " long , long , long , long " time ago .
An early , short , version of it was Lucas's UCLA?? student film . Is it to be seen anywhere ???????????

oh @#$...I want those hours back in my life...Wink

I saw it. It came out on TV, after Star Wars came out. Aside from the cops looking more than a little like CPO, and the insertion of THX1138 (a license plate in American Graffitti, a line in Star Wars: a New Hope, etc)...I don't have much use for it...Wink

You can see the student film on youtube.
its great.

the full-length version, quite frankly, sucks ass.
Lucas' best directorial effort remains American Graffiti.

have seen the movie several years ago as a special on sf on the dutch channels (must be like 20 years ago)

was recently on arte in german or in french version
