I have always suffered with headaches...ever since I can remember. But lately I have noticed that when I stay at home and talk with no-one, I do not get a headache. When I go out, at work etc I will end up with a headache around 1 in the afternoon. Is this something to do with AS? The fact that it may have something to do with socialising and how hard I work at it?
Does or has anyone else noticed this at all? _________________ Definition of a fool: Someone who repeatedly does the same thing over and over, but expects a different result each time! |

| I sometimes get headaches for longer than a day, but I never attributed them to a social situations or work. You could just be stressed out but if they happen a lot then you might want to see somebody. |

happens, headaches, or more usually tiuredness and fatigue as the usual day to day dealings with others is an enourmous effort for us AS.
i tried eating small amounts constantly throuout the day. especially nuts.
i found there is less adrenal fatigue this way, where because you are stressed the adrenal gland is constantly having to work to fire and secrete adrenalin and this leaves you prone to headachesa and stress and especially fatigue.... there is a book called adrenal fatigue, it appears unrelated to As but you can make the links. |

If you're getting headaches when you deal with people, they could be of the tension type. I work in customer service, & after dealing with especially difficult people, I often develop headaches. |

I have exactly the same symptoms. If I go to school I get headaches at 2pm, if not, they stay away. The strange thing is: If I have more free periods instead, that I spend in the lounge with classmates, instead of normal lessons, they are worse. This might be related to the noise level or the higher amount of socializing, which is definitely more straining for me than, for instance, math or other intellectual activities. _________________ "Most people would die sooner than think — in fact they do so." - Bertrand Russell |

When I was younger, they were long-term affairs... a single headache could last for over a week, though the intensity was mild compared to what I would experience later in life. In high school, they transitioned to moderate and somewhat frequent migraines (light sensitivity, flashes, nausea, dizziness) with little to no warning or aura time. I still have them, though down to weekly occurences or less compared to 3x week when I was in school.
