I pretty often let people treat me like crap. But i always tell myself "I'm as precious as everybody else." But still i get pushed around by few people. Well, friends. And I really hate being dissed Evil or Very Mad I should not let them push me around. I am me.

I think all you other guys out there should try to be brave and stand for who you are.

I don't. Well, I fight against it.

But people then treat me like an insane person who either is not taken seriously or thought of a a danger.

I think it's still better than that they think because of my nonsense body-language that I am easily pushed around.

Because I'm totally not. I probably should be, a little. To show that I can cater to my friend's needs a little and don't just appear to be the a most egoistical (or insane and not to be taken seriously) person.

People are so complicated...

Sometimes! If they are a salesperson, I play with them with MY knowing they already LOST THE SALE! If they are a coworker, they will probably find I am, BY FAR, the smartest one there and THEY end up getting hurt!

Strategically it's not a problem, if people think you're an idiot then you're always 1 step ahead of them. Razz

Oh, yes! It's a great Southern tradition to allow people to think you're an idiot! Very Happy

Mr. Mark, I tend to think it’s an American tradition to let people think you’re and idiot.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go blow something up, stuff my face with fat laden food and make a few ignorant statements against whatever group of people it’s popular to make fun of nowadays. 'Cuz I'm an idiot.

I tend to just let people not know what to think of me, I keep my self mysterious, or whatever I think will work better.

I try to live happily. If I can't do that, I try at least to be amused. With that said, sometimes I do things that make people think I'm an idiot. They can think that if they want. It's my life. It's just their opinion.

I'm the one who gets to decide how to enjoy life. If they have problems with that, screw 'em. They're not worth my time.

I don't let anyone treat me like an idiot, and as a matter of fact, that's the quickest way to piss me off. I'm slow to catch to innuendo at times, but when I do, I let 'em have it back full-force. Just ask my husband. Sometimes he treats me like a child, but when he slips up, I set him straight really quick.

Good point, but it is a standard attitude in ANYTHING! It isn't unique to Aspies AT ALL! If I(a comparative KLUTZ), tried to teach a star basketball player how to play, s/he would feel the SAME towards me.

One IDIOT suggested that I, an acknowledged “expert” in a certain product, would be biased, and give a biased answer. I know HUNDREDS of “technologies”, and he only really knows one. I am considered “expert” in most, and he is expert in none!

The FACT is that, when asked how to improve one thing, I remained silent. WHY? Because it is convoluted and complicated, and I would suggest SCRAPPING what they did, without saving a single piece. Ironically, it used the same product that jerk suggested I would suggest using.

If I told them how I felt, it could involve a couple weeks of my time, with people breathing down my neck, because so few really know much. They don't even really know that product, though it IS what they know best.

Anyway, I am sure we ALL know how you feel, and can sympathize.
