me Smile

My favourite in the series though is "The Silver Chair", because of Puddleglum, and the scene arguing with the witch in the underground city about the existence of Aslan, and of Narnia above their heads.

Among the few books I have read.

I remember my school headmaster accusing me of living in a fairy land while I was reading them (all the Narnia books).

i liked those books when i was a kid. swords and sorcery and magical animals and hidden holes to other worlds and all kinds of cool stuff. then i read them all again when i was 20 or so, and was totally disappointed. the christian symbolism is so overt, but i didn't pick up on it as a kid. and i especially was disturbed by the misogyny. cs lewis likes little girls, but as soon as they turn into women they're all horrible and evil.

It's one of the few rare books that I've reread. I wish Narnia was real.

I love the Silver Chair best also.

If you read A Grief Observed or Surprised By Joy, Adverb, you would realize that C.S.Lewis was not a misogynist. In fact, he was proudest of his novel, Til We Have Faces because he successfully wrote it from a woman's viewpoint and got it right. He showed the manuscript to many women friends because he was afraid he might not be able to do it.

I've read all of the Narnia books and enjoyed all of the. The Last Battle is my favourite. I've reread it quite a few times.

Yes I've read through the whole epic back and forth.

Plus I'm kind of a C. S. Lewis fan.
