I just reported them for their terms of use violation and I don't think they'll be there for much longer. Sorry if this turns out to be a burden on the discussion.

Sounds like some nitwit lost his girlfriend to an Aspie guy and wants revenge. Wish they'd explain exactly how extreme apathy leads to rape. Can you say Oxy-MORON?

The creator is (apparently) a girl. I'd say this community is probably some sort of elaborate joke. Either way, it's goin' down.

Nah, she's not joking, she's not bright enough to comprehend anything as subtle as parody, and even so, it's just not funny. I mean, I can take a joke, but that's just ignorance, hatefulness and bile from someone who's ugly attitude is the very essence of what she's attempting to paint onto others. Don't the Freudians call that 'projecting'?

I wouldn't be surprised to find out the person who created that group actually had a bad experience or two with someone who claimed to have Autism.

Her spelling and grammar are atrocious, but perhaps English is not her first language.

She believes all the nonsense that is spouted about autism: lack of empathy, lack of ToM, extreme male brain. Good evidence that the inaccurate information that scientists spread is actually harmful to us as a group. I'm saving the page. Thanks for the link.

Perhaps someone could inform her that it's usually the jocks who feel entitled to - and get away with - rape, not the nerds? But perhaps that would scare her too much?

I wonder what event triggered the formation of this group.

OK, going from my childhood experience I agreed with everything knowing how I felt and acted towards people back then, so I didnt see what the problem was until the very bottom where she basicly said that autistic boys are likly to rape, thats just stupid. As riggid and sometimes violent and all as I could be when I was a boy I never EVER had the desire to rape anyone, actually if anything the girl was always the one pressuring me to have sex, and I ALWYAS said no because I cannot stand the idea of being physically intimate with anyone, just tooo close for me, NOOOOO WAYYYYY so everyone callled me prude, guess what, they are right.

Sexist, ignorant, and hostile. The author is likely to label all boys she doesn't like as 'Autistic'. She also uses poor spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Quote:
Autism is a disease that affects almost entirely boys; one theory for this is that Autism is an "extreme male mind."

Wrong. Autism is not a disease; if it were, then it could be treated and cured, instead of merely 'managed' like any other disorder.

Quote:
Autistic boys are apethetic and are unable to know how another person feels, or will feel.

Wrong. Not all Autistic people are typified by apathy. Many are very active, and interact with their surroundings. This sweeping generalization ignores those Autistic victims who seem to have genuine concern for the welfare of others, yet who simply can not articulate that concern.

Quote:
They also become very distressed if they do not get their way. This could be somthing like a minor violation of their strict rutine, the birth of a sister, a haircut, or failure for another person to make a decision that the Autistic boy agrees with. Part of the problem with the intense reaction to a dicision that the Autistic boy does not agree with is their need for control and lack of empathy. How can a person accept a decision different from their own if they cannot imagine that other people have thoughts different from their own?

Wrong. This blanket statement could just as well cover every spoiled little girl who throws a tantrum because she did not get her way. Just replace 'Autistic Boy' with 'Spoiled Girl' (or 'Britney Spears') and it will make just as much sense.

Quote:
Finally, Autistic boys often use and threaten violence as a way of expressing their frustrutation because they have great difficulty in expressing their feelings to other people in meaningful ways.

Wrong. Violence is often the last resort of Neurotypical (NT) people who become frustrated, so aggressive behavior is not exclusive to the Autistic community. Besides, how can a person who can not communicate his or her intentions make a threat?

Quote:
To review the elements of the Autistic boy, they cannot empathize, imagine that other people have views different from their own, require a rigidly structured enviornment and become very distressed if anyone disturbs it, and frequently resort to violence.

Wrong. Another sweeping generalization fallacy. She may as well be describing hard-core politicians and religious leader. Or lawyers and police officers. Or military personnel. Or any of the characters on 'Desperate Housewives'.

Quote:
If this isn't enough, Autistic boys are extremely impulsive.

Wrong: And (NT) girls are not impulsive? Can any NT girl with a credit card and time to kill not go into a boutique and at least try on (if not purchase) every 'cute' outfit she sees? Granted, I'm being a little sexist here myself, but you get the point. The author is attributing negative behavior solely to Autistic boys, while ignoring the same behavior in NT girls.

Quote:
Imagine that an Autistic boy named Alex is alone with his friend Kate. Autistic boys desire sex like all boys do, but boys with Autism are unable to express their emotions in ways that are meaningful to other people and have an exteme male mind. What if Kate does not want to have sex with Alex? He is rigid, apethetic, thinks everyone shares his ideas, impulsive, extremely male, and violent. Do you think Alex would accept Kate's feelings? No, I think you know what comes next.

Wrong: This 'Strawman' fallacy is entirely made up. If it is not, then it describes one incident with one autistic boy and one girl - and it is never revealed what this girl was doing alone with a boy in the first place! The author sets up this hypothetical situation, and then draws it out to a conclusion that she has already decided upon, and which does not prove her point in the least.

And by the way ... couldn't the owner of this website - who coincidentally is also named 'Alex' - take some legal action against the author for slander, libel, or some other such civil infraction?

I don't think someone who was simply scorned would go to such lengths as to create a group like that... I mean, it's possible that the situation described in the group description might have happened or almost happened to her, which would explain a lot.
Anyway, I reported the group too, but it doesn't seem to've done anything, since as far as I can see they're still up and running.

*Ouch*

That's even sexist to me since autism isn't at all exclusive to males. I don't normally take these people seriously since they come off as ignoramuses to their theory. The least the poster could have done was educate herself on the subject instead of spamming it with misinformed information as well as the ad hominem of attacks.

If they were really interested, they'd actually do some research on it like google.com. Don't really know what her motive is behind all of this so can't say.

I dug around into the creator's Youtube profile, and she hates autistic people because apparently she was raped by someone with autism.

I'm sorry that she got raped, and I can somewhat understand where she's coming from, although I think that hating all autistic people because of it is somewhat excessive and she should see a therapist.
