Anyone ever picked last when choosing teams in grade school?

I was almost always picked last every time. The main sports
we played during P.E. at my Catholic school where kickball
and soccer. I was never good at any team sport.
All the girls were picked before me, too. Not being sexist here.
It's just that when you're 7 years old and that happens to you,
you get teased by the others more.

So I went to a neighborhood kickball game recently that friends in my area
organize on Saturdays. (I'm 34 years old, and I would say the average
age of the other "kids" is between 25 and 27.)
We picked teams the old fashioned way.
And I got picked last. Rolling Eyes

Yep, I was always picked last and even though I was last, the team I ended up with tried to trade me for someone else. Oh well, sense they didn't want me on the team, I wasn't a team player just to get on their nerves. Laughing Twisted Evil

I was always picked last. Mostly because everyone knows that I hate sports and that I suck at them. Laughing

I've been picked last from grades 1 to 10. But I wasn't picked last because I was bad at sports. I was just not liked in all the schools.

About 90% of the time I was picked last, exception being when he who was selecting the team liked me for some reason (and as I had very few friends at school, most people who got along with me were the ones that copied my homework Confused )

Gym and sports were terrible, I am against the idea they should be school subjects. They belong in spare time. It was hell for many years, until age 15. Then my underperforming in soccer caused a classmate to almost physically attack me and that was just the last thing I was willing to stand. My doctor, who knew of my AS and was helpful, wrote me a sick note declaring me unfit for sports. As a result I did not enrol in sports classes for the final 3 years of secondary school, which was an incredible relief.

<~~~Always picked last for sports! Stunk at most of them anyway...lack of coordination + lack of being able to track the ball really took its toll. I did do ok at badmitton & soccer though for team sports...loved to swim & did fine there. Everything else was a complete waste of my time, & other players usually got mad at me as though I purposefully screwed up their game when I would miss the ball. ;-(

I had problems with ball tracking too...sometimes. I was ok if it was
just the neighbor and me tossing a baseball around, but put me
on a team in a game like kickball (or any baseball derivative) where
there is plenty of time and space to be distracted by birds and
passing cars...well then I just space out.

Once, during a kickball game in the 3rd grade, I was playing center field.
I was time traveling, only to be called back by a crescendo of voices
yelling at me to come back to Earth. I looked up only to see the
ominous growing silhouette of the kickball headed right for me.
I put my arms up to protect myself as the the angry projectile
bounced off of my time machine.

Kickballs seemed bigger then, didn't they?

I was ALWAYS picked very last which was accompanied by nasty comments of those dumb bitches from both teams. I hated them as same as handball which was the major sport of my primary school as well as high school.

I was always picked last. I used to hate the teacher who would pick a couple of leaders to choose teams. Awful.

I remember once - I wasn't picked last, it was such a relief to be picked a bit earlier, I realised later the guy felt sorry for me.

Every single time. It wasn't just that I was clumsy and not very good at sports. It was also that the other children hated me.
