I'm just curious: are you easily offended by when people make jokes about you? I personally can get easily offended when someone is teasing me- even THOUGH I heard that they tease you ONLY if they like you.

Yes, but only because sometimes it takes me a moment to *get* that they are just kidding. If I know they are not really being hurtful, I get over it.

Yeah.. I get most upset when I realize they're making jokes about me when it takes a little while to notice. Then I get upset with my husband for making jokes about me because he knows better.. And I really HATE my mother in law for making jokes/comments about/to me.. ("We're going to do adult things now." Basically saying I'm not an adult, despite having two kids of my own, just because I don't drink. Mad ) So.. in short.. yes

Sometimes, but all the bullying I had to put up with in middle school forced me to grow a pretty thick skin.

I have this problem as well. I tend to take sarcasm and jokes literally....most of the time I get it but there are many times that I dont. Its actually been a kind of running joke amongst my family and friends that I am so much fun to tease because its so easy....yeah yeah HA HA very funny. Evil or Very Mad

Me exactly. My husband knows that if he wants to joke, to tell me he's joking. Otherwise I tend to get pissed off.

If it feels mean spirited, yes. If I can tell they are being friendly, not at all.

Yeah I suppose but on the contrary growing up in girls home and women shelters & prison provides a very supportive enviroment.

I'd rather be in prison than out in the world on my own > like I currently am.

I'm not easily offended. People can throw all kinds of insults at me, I don't care - sometimes I might even laugh.

On the other hand, being denied the opportunity to speak can enrage me like nothing else. This can be due to interruptions, non-stop blabber, or simply refusing to listen. You don't have to agree with me, but at least let me say what I have to say!

Yeah, I am. I have some serious trouble trying to determine if someone is joking, or if they're serious. It can often lead to arguments. But it usually doesn't get that far anymore. My close friends know that I'm Autistic, and will literally tell me when someone is joking or not. It helps.

I derive no positive benefits whatsoever from being ribbed and I just sit there stonily and wait for the perpetrators to get a life and find something else to do. That's with friends and family. If strangers give me sh** they get the pre-violence stare.

The most people who have bullied me are my parents.

Ive never really got along with anyone really well. Every friend Ive had it seems to go wrong.

I am very gentle spirited person but I do remember burning down my flat mates bed plus I got her a drink of water out of the toilet bowl because she wouldnt stop complaining how sick she was.

A friend or x friend complained to me that she still has got scar where I stabbed her with a pen in highschool but I dont remember this.

I got in big trouble a while back for kickin in someone's door.

I had a best friend once but she wouldnt come with me where I wanted so I pushed her on the ground and started kicking her.

When I was 18 I was charged with three counts of assault on police officers.

It might sound bad but I have had heaps worse things done to me.
