The Psychiatrist Radovan Karadzic was arrested at his practice in Belgrade, and charged with the death of 300,000 people in Bosnia, where he had his practice in the 1990's.
He took Graduate Courses at Columbia University, in the 1970's.
He is charged with Genocide, Complicity in Genocide, Extermination, Murder, Willful Killing, Persecution, Deportation, Inhumane Acts, Terror Against Civilians, and Hostage taking.
His book, "Miraculous Cronicals of the Night" sold out a printing of 1200 at the 2004 Belgrade International Book Fair.
When arrested he was again working as a Psychiatrist, in Belgrade.
His defense is expected to center on how Laymen can never understand the work of Professionals, and his Practice was within the guidelines set by his Profession.
In Bosnia he was perfecting his cure for Autism.
Doctor Karadzic has the full support of his Profession, their deep understanding of the human mind places them above such things as War Crimes Trials, and charges of Mass Murder. He was only doing what was best for everyone, cleaning up the gene pool.
It was just a more cost effective method of dealing with the problem than mental hospitals, Thorazine, and electro schock. It only accelerated the outcome, following the DSM Guidelines for Client Care.
As a self regulating Profession, they wish to hold closed door hearings before the Psychiatric Board, to restore trust in the Profession after this slander.
Others seek an open trial for War Crimes in the Hauge.
In other news, a rash of fires have been breaking out in Psychiatrists offices worldwide, destroying all files and records. |

This is unfair, Inventor.
I'm not sure you appreciate what a terribly stressful job mental health professionals have, being obligated to read each other's books and spend all day pretending to be interested and compassionate and concerned about people they couldn't care less about.
All that hard work for a measly few hundred thousand a year.
So it's perfectly reasonable that they have to do things now and then to look after their own mental health, so they can continue to do so much good for the public.
Besides, they're ethical. *points to book* See, it says so right here.

Bear with me here for a second.
Technically, as I see it, this trial should be in the Hague. Why? Because this was genocide, under Milosivich. and as such, if this guy was part of those stirrings, then as such, he is part of the far wide ranged group that is still being hunted.
These guys are on par with the fact that if they were in America, there would be a shoot on sight order, same as Al-Qada....only with Al-Qada, that's a death sentence, we'd probably be lenient with the genociders, stand them on trial, then kill them.
Sorry....rambling.
Anyhow, if this is accurate, (and I'd like to see a link.) and I think so, since it is Bosnia, then this does carry the death sentence on it as is. Behind closed doors? All that's gonna do is have them censure him and let him go back to work...bad idea. soon as that happens, he gets black bagged and he's in the Hague on trial.
