I am traveling to Denver, Colorado on August 20, 2008...and will have to fly from Syracuse, New York to Boston, Massachusetts to pick up my direct flight (United Airlines) to Denver International Airport. I am getting excited but, I have alot of anxiety also. I have never been to Logan Airport in Boston and hope I make my connecting flight with United Airlines with no problems.
With all the security checks, the recent computer glitch at JFK aiport in New York City this past week (where people had to abandon their luggage) and all the "problems" in the Airline Industry..travel seems to a nightmare in these current times.
Can anyone help to alleviate my anxiety to get through this one day of traveling by air?
Thanks to all who can offer any guidance, help and support to get through this upcoming day! |

I would suggest drinking booze if you can tolerate it.
Works for me.
Denver is cool Town. _________________ When you grow up you'll be put in a container called a cubicle. The bleak oppressiveness will warp your spine and destroy your capacity to feel joy. Luckily you'll have a boss like me to motivate you with something called fear. |

| If you can't tolerate flying, might I suggest getting a refund on your tickets and, oh, I dunno, maybe, ROADTRIP! |

| One word: Amtrak (www.amtrak.com). I know there train routes going through all the cities you mentioned, just not sure if there is a direct connection between Boston and Denver. Search around on the Amtrak site, and hopefully, you'll find routes that work for you. |

Thanks, people for your comments...however, I don't use alcohol to dull my senses, I do not wish to take a road trip at this time
and I hear too many bad things about Amtrak. Train traveling is nice but, Amtrak needs to improve on far too many things, like
clean bathrooms to make train traveling more pleasant.
I am not too fearful for traveling by Air...and there are plenty of people in Airport Terminals to assist people in their needs. I know of a community residence in Wisconsin that had to send many of their mentally retarded residents home for the Christmas
holiday one year...and all of them had to travel through different airports throughout the USA. If these mentally retarded young people can travel with no problems...and I am not mentally retarded...then, I should have no real problems at all.
Besides, when difficulties arise, I have learned to take them in stride. After all, that is what make life less boring and interesting. |
