Well made this thread, since i know that i sometimes find myself drawn to certain songs dependant on my emotional state, and current state of thinking. If there is anyone alse here like that, feel free to post the song that you feel matches you right now.

For me it would have to be...

In Flames - Come clarity

The way my life has been going, there have been three tunes that seem to alternate.

"Burning Down the House"

"King of Pain"

and..."Walkin' On A Thin Line"

"Where Are You?" - Natalie and Justin Roman

Particularly Natalie's verse:

I'm staring out at the sky
Praying that he will walk in my life
Where is the man of my dreams?
I'll wait forever
How silly it seems!

How does he laugh?
How does he cry?
What's the color of his eyes?
Does he even realize I'm here?

Where is he?
Where is he?
Where is he?
Where is this beautiful guy?
Who is he?
Who is he?
Who's gonna take me so high?

Good love song it seems like.

well the song i previously posted still describes my current mood. as for lyrics, here they are. The main chorus part is what i feel for the most part.

Rushing through 30
Getting older every day
By two
Drawing pictures of innocent times
Could you add colour inside these lines?

I want you to lead me
Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

I want you to lead me
Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

Sure it would change my perspective
I'm certain I would change today
I'm certain it would change our ways
Would things fall into place?

I want you to lead me
Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

I want you to lead me
Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

[Solo]

I want you to lead me
Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

I want you to lead me
Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

Take me somewhere
Don't want to live
In a dream one more day

Don't know if we need lyrics or a specifically concrete reason these work? When it goes off non-lyrical stuff (much of what I listen to) its energy; mood has a lot to do with whether I go atmopheric, jazzy, dark, hard-step, etc. with this kind of thing. This was just the first thing I felt like popping on, matched my mode Smile.

Dj Die - Special Treat

I'm kinda like techstepgenr8tion, I'm more into the instrumental. "Lady" by Mista fits my current mood beatwise because I'm relaxed like the beat to that song.

Then again, my mood swings sometimes and when it does, the opening theme to the 1982 film "48 Hrs" done by James Horner comes to my mind. Not the start of the theme, but the part where they bring in the horns. You can feel the tension, anger and the aggression in that song just by listening to it.

Yoni Wolf is amazing!

This goes out to dirty dancing, cursing, backmasking, backslidden pastor's kids...
