I have a small question of writing a book.
Is it best to write it in most populated language (english) or in my own language?
or how does writing a book goes |

Whichever you feel most comfortable writing in. If your book does well, it may get translated.

| i feel good for both language's sinds i learnd english dramaticly easy and fast so its a sort of second language but eventualy i should write a book in my own language think thats best and to be sure i whill do it 100% correct |

I know where Dutch comes from. I'm Australian, not American. I may not be able to speak Dutch, but I know my countries and languages, at least as far as Europe is concerned.
I don't know that many Dutch books translated into English, but don't worry, there probably is a market for translation.

@Quartermass: There are a good portion of Americans who know from where Dutch comes.
@UndercoverAlien: Write in whichever language you feel most comfortable with. If it's Dutch, write in Dutch and let those who speak English either get it translated so they can read it or you can translate it later. If you're more comfortable writing in English, by all means, go ahead and use English.

I hear a lot about how Americans flunk simple geographical questions. My grandmother once visited America, and stayed at someone's place, and they asked her if she had driven over from Australia. They thought she could drive north from Australia to Russia or something similar, and then drive over into Alaska.

A lot of Americans are like that, but remember that you're on an Aspie forum and - though I may be making a generalization here - people with AS tend to pay attention to certain details that others may miss... and vice versa. But I've run into a load of people who I can picture saying something like that...

| Think about the kind of audience you're writing for. If you see you could market your book more successfully in English-speaking countries, the task of writing it in English may be worth the effort. But if you seek to get more recognition from your own people first, then go Dutch. |

that also make's me think...waiting till something is translated.it may sound simple but these answer realy make me think =/
i always was a bit bad at making decisions...altough i have alot of fantasy to easly write a book its these simple things wich make me think -_-' |

What do you wish to accomplish? If it's recognition, then perhaps English is the way to go. More people have more access and ability to read your book.
LOL at the dull and unremarkable comment made about Americans. I've already forgotten what it was, seems to have been mixed up with all the other stereotypes.

| To hell with the recognition. Everybody is worth something. Write because you like to write. Maybe some day you will write something great or maybe not. But it is a skill to be developed and if you have fun at doing it, then do it. |
