Here jehova's witnesses have tried to convert me 2-3 times lol.
The reason why i dislike this is because my parents actually converted to that when i was a kid.
Luckily they saw the light some years later and freed us from the agony of having to go to the "kingdom house" every sunday. |

Eek, that's one inflammatory can of worms which should probably not be opened.
I normally ask which version of the bible they consider to be the most accurate and how passages which were ambiguous in meaning and therefore translated incorrectly from original aramaic have influenced modern translations. Then I ask how old the earth itself is. |

We get Jehovah's Witness at our door sometimes, usually when I am cooking or running the bath or at some other really inconvenient moment.
Worse are the kind of Christians who like to decide what you are doing in church, where you are at in your faith journey and other things, and ALL without ever asking you personally. These types are usually patronising do-gooders who would be better off put to hard labour. |

Exactly my opinion of do gooders, all nice and smiley up front, and back stabbing harpies when your not around, having grown up in a catholic town, me and my family had to put up with alot of these types of gossipy Fat Cows, all smiley at church, but having to listen to these pigs prattle on about the non catholics or other neighbors who they felt did not fit into their skeem of things. I was glad our family never fit their skeems either. Yaa for be a non conformist _________________ Visit me @ Neural Deviant

Some but not all of the New Testament were likely to have been written originally in Aramaic. All the Pauline Epistles were Greek, as was at least one of the Gospels. Most of the old testament was written in Hebrew, with a few chapters here and there in Daniel and Ezra in Aramaic. But most of the Bible was not "original" in Aramaic. |

Apologies, I am no scholar on the matter. I just like to have a couple of lines cued up to fox the evangelists that turn up at my door (many of whom are even less well informed on the matter then I am) long enough for me to shut it in their faces.
The ones who annoy me the most are the Jehovah's Witnesses it has to be said. Why drag your kids around with you when you know people are going to be slamming doors in your face and shouting abuse (like the presence of kids would stop people round here!). |

Jehovah's witnesses always come to my door. I just say "OH, sorry, I'm gay, so, I guess it's straight to hell for me!"
That's when they usually cover their sons' eyes and quickly remove themselves from the premises, lest they would catch a nasty case of gayness. |

I heard that sometimes people are violent to Jehovah's Witnesses, might be for safety, although they could be exposing children to abuse, if people even don't care about the children, at least in that case they could press charges. But they can't complain for people slamming doors in their faces.
Frankly, I very much prefer a Jehovah's Witness knocking at my door than a delinquent trying to break in. _________________ Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods. ~Einstein. |

| I tell the door-to-door types to have their Bishop call my Bishop and see what can be arranged. If they don't do Bishops, I ask them how they can call themselves a Church without proper "Overseers" (Episkopoi--Bishops) as specified in Scripture. |

Jehovah's Witnesses sure can be annoying. Even worse is when atheists try to convert you, because atheistic evangelists tend to be extremely bitter. _________________ WAR IS PEACE
