| Does anyone here have a hard time making female friends? Or does it feel like females always hold a wall to you that seems unbreakable, while they are having fun and talking with other guys? I can talk all day to a girl, but if she acts uncomfortable or won't talk herself then its no good. I hope I'm not alone here. |

| haha, you are funny. of course, you are not alone. it's almost all of us. btw, recently, after i gained PhD and started earning more money, i have noticed increased interest from girls. they say that they are impressed by my inteligence, but i was inteligent the same when i used to earn less. and even though they are sending me the signs and i know i should reply and i know more or less how i should reply, i just cannot bring myself to doing that. always keep finding some excuses. it's quite sad, but i've learned not to care anymore. |

Hasn't helped with your written presentation much though, has it ?
Only joking (but you could try hitting the carriage return and capitalisation keys every so often ... though I do find it interesting that you managed to find the capitalisation keys for PhD).
Didn't they tell you ?

That wasn't nice of you to laugh me out because of my written presentation. What is more important, the information or the way I put it? It's enough that every time I am worried about making some funny grammar mistake, since English is my third language. |

i don't think i will have problems coming back to it, not in this age, specially when girls show the interest in me now. i just have to embrace it when ready and so far i keep refusing it because i wouldn't be taking it seriously anyway. i want yet to live in few more countries and having a girlfriend would just complicate it.
and doing it just for sex? i don't think it's worth it. |

I am seldom able to trust girls...I have learned that too many of them are just out to stab ye in the back and whatnot.  (whether or not this is actually true...alas it has been reenforced too many times)....it takes me a long time to feel comfortable with females alot of the time...but that's ok..because it often seems like there is not worth their time or energy to be friends with me anyway...I have a way of putting off other females without even trying...
I have a severe deficit when it comes to female bonding....it carries over to my mom and my sister....I have had precious few actual female friends....
rawwr..
Most of my friends are socially akward guys.

now that i think of it ive never seen a female aspie (ofc in real life)
all i see are boys strange very strange 0.o maybe female have stronger brains(sorry just had to be said xD) |

Females are about as hard for me to make friends with as males. I'm female myself--it should be easier--but males have some advantages. They tend to be more straightforward, and they tend to prefer doing something together rather than just talking. Both give me as an Aspie a bit of an advantage--just enough to offset the gender barrier.
The three or four female Aspies I've met don't seem to give me the same trouble as male Aspies; but unfortunately, I don't share interests with any of them. If I did, there might be potential for a rather close friendship, because the "let's hang out" tendencies that NTs have are the biggest obstacle for me when socializing with females.
