Yeah, I am losing interest now too (just as it seems like the hobby is getting more mainstream credibility Sad oh well) I wouldn't think twice about it, just follow your interests and maybe someday you'll hear about some new game that sucks up your time again.

Im not into gaming much at all. I hate to lose, and I do often, so, its not very much fun. I have to many other things on my mind to bother playing video-computer games. I liked them when I was a kid, but, guess I grew out of them. If I do find a game I like i tire of it quickly and move on to better things Smile

Yeah, I played nintendo once in a while till I was about 12. Then, I stopped and never touched it again. It didn't engage me at all, or hold my attention. Ditto for computer games.

It boggles my mind to see some of my NT aquaintances who are 30 y/o playing computer games for hours and getting such a big kick out of it. I get this irrepressible image of baboons fascinated by a mirror... Shocked I can't believe they're not embarrassed with themselves...

My doctor told me I might want to play some first-person shoot'em-up games to help with reflexes and hand-eye coordination. I told him I could shoot five for five in skeet shooting, so there was no problemswith hand-eye coordination. That's my kind of DUCK HUNT--the real thing! Very Happy

I've gone through a few periods in my life when I played some game a lot, but I quickly tire of them. I used to get quite frustrated as well, and it seemed so silly to get all worked up over a game.

Well see I do think games can be intellectually stimulating, and sometimes I think that some games will become considered an 'art form' just like many of the more sophisticated movies are nowadays. Playing games doesn't make you stupid if you have the common sense to use moderation in your playing time.

I am quite interested in the future of gaming.
Neuro/biofeedback, virtual reality etc. There is so much potential.

Depends on the game really... you're talking about like a single-player game you go through on your own? The point of that is to experience a story, but ideally a really good game will put you in the story in such a way that you feel you are living it, the games I obsess about are the ones that really fully immerse me in their world and story (as opposed to a book or movie where you are observing the story, in a good game you are living the story)

Good games like that are few and far between though, most games are mostly about passing the time, which is why I've been losing interest lately... I just don't have any time left to pass anymore! Shocked
