| Clericy for me is the idea that one form of life or intelligence, such as humans, can commune with transcendent intelligence such as god, a deity, or perhaps even extraterrestrials or time travelers, transdimensionalist even. Usually these communications will involve interchange or if I can dive here, transresolution. Clerics have been popularized in myth and religion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clergyman. Though the term is especialy popular in modern role playing simulations. Clericy in difference to Maj'ic, subtends to universal energies, whilst wizardry and magica seem to seek an equilibrium. |

| I think the clerics were an anthropological development that combined shaman with scribe - when society needed to spend most of its time providing basics like food and shelter, being able to read and write was a bit of luxury. |
