I think WP should consider creating a "report abuse" button that members can click on posts where a poster is clearly attacking the author or another member through vulgar language, bullying, racial remarks. After all, some people with AS are esp. vulnerable to this kind of abuse and this should be a safe haven where people can express themselves as long as they do no harm to others.

| but it was disabled because everyone reported anything they didn't agree with, huge abuse problem with the abuse system. |

Well TROLLING (which I think is what you're referring to-correct me if I'm wrong) is also a form of abuse and needs to be dealt with. I think the admins. should consider a member participation system like Yahoo Answers uses. They are able to detect trolls and deal with them. No one should ever have to feel threatened or like they can't do anything about it here. I remember when trolls were cute "ugly" dolls with the cool hair

Some abusive members may just be angry. Talking to other members here may be the best thing for them.
If someone is being abusive tell them, if that doesn't work tell a mod |

There should be a meta-abuse system, where mods who get abuse flags can flag those abusive flags, if they're abusive, up for the higher levels of mods, and then those can flag the original mods abuse, if it's abusive, as abuse onto an even higher level of mod. goto 1.

AFF has report abuse buttons and they work pretty well. I would be very much in favour of having the same on WP.

I would like to mention that there are no paid mods here and we do have our own interests, school and jobs,(as well as some surprisingly attention seeking cats to keep humored). Beside WP, Alex has his own school and work as well as doing many other things to advocate for AS rights and awareness. The planet runs in some ways by the support of other members dealing with trolls by NOT responding to them...people who do things for attention tend to go away with no attention. Some go away when their bullying is condemned by other members...which I see often and is helpful when it doesn't turn into name calling or return bullying. I know the first instinct is to defend yourself but sometimes the most effective and logical approach is just to ignore them and reported consistent abusers...not just someone having a bad day.

It just seems when one person posts something like this, its usually simply because they don't like the opinions of others. Thats how it was when the OP originally posted this. 
Its a slippery slope argument maybe, but it was getting really bad, because in the end you have to ask when does peoples opinions about subjects constitute abuse? Some people think that you disagreeing with them is already abuse.
This is human nature - the accepted opinions of the masses is constituted into a law which everyone must follow, and if you disagree you are shunned.

Thanks...the dolls are actually based on characters (aspie folks from 35,000 years ago) that are in a book from one of our WP members. It's an awesome book and I hope he gets it published soon.
