Hey guys I am just sick of hearing all this vaccine blame witch hunt crapola from parents of autistic kids.
It seems even famous seemingly well educated people like jim carrey and Jenny Mcarthy are trying to spread these lies to the public, I request everyone blacklist there movies and such or anything they do until they do some research and find proof until then they are doing nothing but scaring people
Now thanks to them we got measles and stuff klling kids cause the stuff spreads underneath your skin inside your skull and through your brain there is measles there and it kills kids at young ages probably one of the worst ways to die f all time and over alf the cases are from kids who weren't vaccinated what ya know I wonder why that is? |

Boycotting things sucks. In other news, I think environment clearly effects how severe ASDs are. _________________ (Currently undergoing personality reboot) |

Really ? You believe environment effects how severe an autistic is?
I know many parent's of autistic's who's child was brought up perfectly but can't even speak a single word who would like to argue with that.
I believe it plays a small part especially if you're environment is worse off but to say it is just as much as genetic's is very ballsy.
Also boycotting jim carrey and jenny mcarthy won't be too hard since there not really that hard to avoid most of there stuff sucks I think it would be good to do it cuz they are just spreading false information that could cost kids there lives if they contract a disease that could be prevented through vaccines |

I just don't want to boycott my favorite actor (Jim Carrey), and I wouldn't say environment is 50/50. It's just that being raised in a choatic, unorganized, and loud environment forces you to face your issues way more head on then some basement in a suburb. Not trying to insuly anyone with that. I agree that autism is definitly genetic, i know my father has some autism, I know my mother has autism. My brothers have some as well. Also i went to my granpas place and soem of the things he does just signify with what i am like the moment(shame their all negative though) so i don't think autism can be nurture. Autism is probably a faulty gene somewhere n humans that get passed down to the kids, and it will always be like that. _________________ "Time is an Illusion, lunchtime doubly so" Douglas Adams

i never understood where the idea of vaccines causing autism actually came from. was there any scientific study done? how can just someone accept a theory with no proof at all? there are even no indications that it might be that way. those supporting the theory were explained in other ways. it was just a person who decided, 'i am going to believe it', and than convinced others incapable of thinking on their own? _________________ Timeo hominem unius libri, I fear the man of one book, St. Thomas Aquinas. |

there are many factors though that affect gene expression. _________________ got free science papers?

| There has been studies done MUTLTIPLE and they all came back with no evidence to support the theory, The government has gotten to a point where they aren't even going to do anymore future studies on it because of how completely ridiculous the claims are and how conclusive the first studies have been showing absolutely no link at all to autism. |

I don't see how it could have anything to do with vaccines, I think this idea is just...out there. When I was diagnosed with aspergers I started to observe people in my family. I had always known my parents were very different from other people. I know they have aspergers, no doubt in my mind. I grew up with them, I think I'd know before anyone would see it. So that means I got it genetically. Even things my mom has told me about my great-grandma, whom I never met, makes me firmly believe she had it. One aspie thing about myself...when they ask on the self-determination quiz's out there if you tend to focus in on detail, that's me. I go outside and find 4 leaf clovers everywhere. My husband can never find one. I never would have thought it an aspie thing but I know that it is because of the quiz question. And my Mom always told me that my great-grandma did the same thing with four leaf clovers so I thought that was so interesting. (along with lots of other aspie things she's told me over the years, not just the clover thing). I'm rambling now. But I do definitely see in my case that it's genetics. I just can't see how vaccines would be responsible when autie's and aspie's seem to mostly trace it back to family. *shrugs* _________________ Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former - Albert Einstein |

The concordance rate for identical twins is less than 100%; identical twins are identical genetically.
None the less, there is ample evidence that genetics are implicated in autism. I'm not aware of any evidence indicating that the member of non-concordant twin sets who was not autistic was also not vaccinated (while their sibling was).
My inclination on the evidence I'm aware of is that pre-natal environmental triggers are vastly more likely candidates as factors that might be contributing to non-concordance in identical twins, than are vaccinations. |

But nothing could be wrong with their children! They have to be like everybody else! That's not my real son! Who did this?! Wait... Could it be?! Gasp! The evil corporations of America.
Dun-dun-dan-dan-dan-daaaan.
Honestly: they've no proof. They're just pissed off that their ideal family didn't come to exist.
They're looking for someone to blame - after all, their perfect child couldn't be "broken" by nature, no! Somebody did it! It's a conspiracy! Evil corporations knew their vaccines caused Autism, despite initial records of autistics prior to vaccines, but they still gave it to children, funded by governments, to magically make money! Somehow!
These people are scary gullible. Evidence of their seeking blame? Since day one their stories kept changing. NMR, Mercury - now aluminium! _________________ Oh, well, fancy that! Isn't that neat, eh? |

Yeah the selfish parent syndrome.
Anyways I think that genetics play the biggest role, with environment affecting how the autism is expressed, how sever it is and how the child learns and grow etc. |

I have my own opinions about Jenny McCarthy and I am going to keep it all to myself. However, there is no coincidence that my son is under the spectrum, given that I am. My daughter is not, but has ADHD which I also have. I suspect that my uncle is also under the spectrum. He was a very late talker and whenever he visits us (which is really not all that often) he speaks in a monotone voice and never looks directly at you when he speaks. He frequently stares into space. He was never diagnosed, and he probably wouldn't even consider it at his age (he is 55). However I am pretty sure, based on that alone he is probably under the spectrum. No one knows what the real causes are, but genetics is a huge possibility. I am sure in my case anyway it is. _________________ I was told that I have PDD-NOS and ADHD- in other words, mild AS with a history of speech delay. I personally think its best to say that I am just plain under the spectrum! |
