Sleepwalking - one of the many things that fascinate me.

I did it when I was 13. I was at boy scout camp. I remember it was very dark and I was drawn to the glow of the scout leader's gas lantern. I don't remember exactly what I did or if I said anything. That's really all I remember - darkness and the glow of the lantern.

The other night, I was having a dream that my daughter was chewing on some morning glory vines and I acted out taking the vine away from her with my wife who was next to me in bed. She woke me up asking if I was having a dream.

really weird stuff.

Maybe you was having a dream. I've had dreams of myself walking in the house. I usually walk all through the house during the night before I go to bed but I never have sleepwalked.

I am a somnambulist from childhood, and never grew out of it. I only get second hand reports of what I have done - I don't remember a blessed thing (although sometimes I leave a clue - a light on that I remember turning off, or my head at the wrong end of the bed, etc) . I have done very complicated acts, like trying to perform first aid, and other times I have gone for walks (although thankfully have never left the building). It usually happens when I am very stressed or overly tired. I talk in my sleep too, apparently.

I do have waking dreams - this morning I managed to stop myself from screaming because I was convinced that a dark hand was reaching over my mouth, and was scared enough to wake up - I could have sworn I was awake, though. Shocked

You are right, it is a freaky sort of thing.

Ehm..i`ve been discussing this earlier, and i might be
the one walking the most in his sleep in this place.
Do it regularly, have done for over 25 years. You name
it, i probably have done it in my sleep Smile doesnt bother me,
so used to it.

I`ve walked outside in the snow and -20 degrees celsius
temperatures, only wearing a boxer shorts,
if that doesnt wake me, nothing will Smile

I used to sleep walk all the time when I was 6 to 8 years old. I would wake up in places I didn't go to sleep in or to stories from my dad about how I had to be re-directed back to bed because I was walking around the house in my sleep.

I've never walked in my sleep (at least as far as I'm aware), but I've been told that I talk in my sleep all the time. My parents usually say they can't make out what I'm saying, but they say I'm definitely talking.

I should tape and post me talking in my sleep, its too funny,
turns out i hold long, one sided debates in my sleep, problem
is i talk fast and slurry so no one knows excatly what i`m on about,
and when they ask, i always get annoyed they tell me and get
a little upset and say things like "but why dont you understand
this? *sigh*" One time my girlfriend found me laying on my back
talking and "shooting" into the air with something. She asked, and i
answered "come on, i`m shooting leaves, how can you not see that?"
and then i continued my leaf shooting for 10 more minutes Laughing
when i woke up she was still laughing

My most scary sleep walking incident: I go to bed, wake up, look around
and find myself walking down the sidewalk in a real busy street in downtown
oslo 2 blocks over from where i lived Shocked I just froze and went "hang on a
minute, this isn`t right, where the hell am i?" That, was weird. And i was dressed!
Woke up slowly at all the car noices around me, they got stronger and stronger.
To this day i would love to know what my plan was, where was i going Smile Had my
cash, my keys and everything and i had locked the door behind me, so i was obviously
heading somewhere.

Sleepwalking can be very funny - like some of the stories in this thread! Leaafshooting and sleepskiing!

I have sleepwalked a few times, but I haven't done it recently. A few times, I've got up and rearranged things in my room, or gone into the bathroom to brush my teeth and stuff as if it was morning. Once, I went into my parents' room and woke my mum up and scared her by shouting "Where's the piece of paper?!" Laughing Strangely, my dad didn't wake up.

Aparently i talk in my sleep, from what I know I say things they way I think with no filter. I dont know if I walk though, I know I have had times when I have done a few things in a partial sleep state, and I have dreamt while being awake. Lately I have been able to pay more attention to my dreams.

But I remember the 1 night i was half asleep and my step brother slept walked into my room saying something which i could not understand and it jus scared the crap out of me i wondered who it was at first coz obviously if your like half asleep you've woke up in the middle of a dream or something.
