I don't like it Sad. I don't like the new arrow icons, or the titles being added in the autocomplete.

So... pick a different skin, and turn off autocomplete?

I mention the skin, because I've got FF3 both in Linux and in the XP I run under VirtualBox. I changed the skin of the XP one, so I could tell which was which!

And, I have to admit, I can't find where to turn off the address bar drop-down titles. It's not as if they aren't the titles from the pages concerned, I guess, but they do take up 1/2 the drop-down space. If you don't want to see them, there should be an option, somewhere. I can't see it in about:config even... yet.

Thanks. I like the autocomplete but not the titles. The arrows bother me because one is larger than the other.

Okay, another complaint: I can't zoom in on the text without zooming in on the images also. So in order to get larger fonts I also get larger images which are rendered fuzzy. How can I enlarge only the text (as with the old firefox?).

Erm... how about ticking "View"/"Zoom"/"Zoom Text Only"?

Its peachy.

Wish the plug in authors would port their stuff over though.

Check its add-on page, some authors have posted links to development versions (:

BTW, you can also open the .xpi (it's just a zip file)

and in the install.rdf file edit the line

to something like above (:

I must be getting old; I expected this thread to be about a re-make of an old Clint Eastwood movie. I will tactfully withdraw and leave you youngsters to it.

If you Tik, and un-tik the boxes in your Firefox privacy settings so that it looks like this, it will remove the 'Awesome-bar':

I like my privacy, so this is how I always have my Firefox set up as.
