Thank you!

I don't like the term 'NT' or 'neurotypical' for many reasons. The first is inaccuracy. A person who does not have an ASD is not necessarily neurotypical. They make have cerbal palsy or schizophrenia or brain damage and then they would not be 'NT' because their brains are different from the normal, but are still not on the autistic spectrum.

Also, 'neurotypical' sounds kind of insulting (my mum said this). 'Typical' is often a word used sorta sarcastically to describe things that are common, but rubbish. I'd prefer we just called them non-autistic, non-ASD or just 'normal' people but people tend to take the second one badly.

That doesn't mean we should call them 'NT's. Neutral Also, many 'normal' people would not call an Aspie (or anyone) a retard, it's just a few of them that are mean.

Propose a superior term, as writing "everyone else" could get tiring. Neurologically standard.

I think we should call them NOAS: Not On the Autistic Spectrum.

No.

Neurologically typical is non-existent in the medical language because really, who'd be 'NT' in reality?

Nobody would be.

Or people would just write non-autistic. NA

At least it has in A as in ASD or AS and AD which somehow connects the word NA to autism.

It would also probably finally be used accurately.

Non-autistic people is something different from the mysterious non-existent 'NT'.
