FYI for those wondering Iceland and Greenland were sort of misnamed.
Iceland is actually quite nice its Greenland that's all frozen tundra and roaming polar bear gangs on snowmobiles.

neither aspie,or one for moving-would never live outside manchester.
am live around auties,and am rarely ever in mainstream-so wouldnt make any difference,even if iceland was full of auties.
when am first saw this topic,am thought this was actually about that crap food shop thats always on tv ["thats why mums go to iceland"].

My husband and I make fun of this a lot... why in the world was Iceland named Iceland since there is civilization there, and the place can have some nice weather...and Greenland named Greenland since the name would be more appropriate for a grassy land but is a frozen tundra with very little civilization... hmmm

Greenland was named based on what early settlers called it...

Thanks for sharing that, funny I didn't know this considering for a while I had an obsession with polar regions. But it sure piqued my curiosity when I saw the title "Iceland" on this forum!
