If you don't know what degrassi is (i didn't know until i researched it) i've pasted an article from wikipedia:
Quote:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Degrassi Junior High is a Canadian dramatic television series that was produced from 1987-1989 as part of the Degrassi series. The show followed the lives of a group of students attending the titular fictional school. Many episodes tackled difficult issues such as drug use, teen pregnancy and divorce, and the series was acclaimed for its sensitive and realistic portrayal of the challenges of teenage life. The cast was comprised mainly of non-professional actors, which added to the show's sense of realism.

It followed the series The Kids of Degrassi Street, and directly preceded the series Degrassi High.

The program premiered on CBC Television on January 18, 1987. It also aired on PBS in the United States.

Degrassi: The Next Generation is a Canadian television series, which follows the lives of a group of high school students.

It is a sequel to the popular 1980s series Degrassi Junior High, and retains that show's focus on the issues and challenges of real teen life. As well, several characters from the earlier series appear on the new series as parents or teachers of the new students.

Ok, no offense, but I generally dislike this type of show. I'm into science fiction shows like angel, x-files, and smallville.

I like that show very much. I watch it every week. Who is your favorite character? What episodes do you like?
I've seen every episode of the new version but never anything from the old version. I wish I did though but repeats of the older one is probably only available in Canada.
Shows like this are usually my favorite. I don't like soap operas but I like stuff that has comedy and drama and are realistic like Degrassi.
Do you watch "My So-Called Life"?

Did you know the MSCL had only 19 episodes? That is sad, that was a great show. My favorite character on MSCL is Angela, she is really cool and I can relate to her the most.
In Degrassi, I like Marco, Ellie, Paige (even though I wouldn't like her in real life) and Terri. I used to like Sean but he turned into a dumb jerk.
Dergrassi and MSCL are the best shows on The-N.

I agree w/ everything you just said. Sean is a dumb Jerk. I like JT though...and Liberty. and yeah I knew. that really sucks. but The N didn't even say there wasnt going to be a next season, so some people would assume... that.

I never watched it, and I may never ever, partially because it's realistic and not animated.

Do any of you think that It's realistic, really? I mean, every episode something angsty or serious happens. in everyone's life, something angsty or serious is sure to happen, but that often:?:
