Anyone here believe in reincarnation?
For those who don't, what do you believe?
I personally believe in reicarnation, your soul comes back to learn, from your past mistakes, and mend wounds caused in past lives. |

I think it's a nice idea.
But I don't agree with the Buddhist view, that everything is "pain" and we have to overcome or learn something.
I guess, eternity is just to boring and we come back to this world just for fun. It's a ****** game and we are addicted players... _________________ Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,

But then why do people come back as things that no-one would choose or want to be?
I have re-occuring dreams about people who represent my family members, and they aren't nice dreams. They are cruel and nasty. I think they have some significance. It's mainly about My sister and Dad, who funnily enough, I have had an odd relationship with since I was a kid, really distant for no valid reasons. |

if i am not sure about something, it's hard to convince myself that it is that way, so i don't believe anything.
but if i could choose, i would prefer to be born again. it doesn't seem that one life is enough, for many people.
it's definitely better than the notion of being in heaven. no one can stand an existence with no problems. _________________ Timeo hominem unius libri, I fear the man of one book, St. Thomas Aquinas. |

Where does life force come from then? What makes a tree different from a chair? |

i personaly beleve in that because nature itself has a invisible mind i think whe by some reason come
back as an other animal species or maybe our own because all creatures are enemys of each other
sinds elswise life would be sort of short to be dead for biljons of years i think nature would orgenised it bether than that |

If energy can't be created or destroyed, where does energy go at the point of death? What changes? Physically everything is still present - the wires, the tubes, the cerebral cortex, whatever. But something is suddenly absent, and no matter what you do, you can't put it back.
Yeah, I reckon I believe in reincarnation. I also definitely believe that this is not my home. That there are other places and dimensions. This must be logical. I perceive so much with my present senses, but even a dog or a fly can perceive better than I can in some ways. So how could I be sure I'd ever have all the information with which to reach conclusions? There's more than the eye can see, and that's as much science as it is belief.
I like this thread. Let Aspie logic solve the mysteries of the universe! |

| The universe intends for existence to be a mystery to all living things, which is why no one knows, and creating myths about it is a great way for some people to wield power and make profits. |

Ironically, you've just described the Buddhist perpsective on life to a tee. _________________ Behold, I stand at the door and knock ... |

How could you know? Have you ever died and then been quickly brought back to life? _________________ Behold, I stand at the door and knock ... |
