People who do this usually know very well their words are going to hurt. Not nice.
I saw the photo, you have a strong face, perfectly handsome.
The photo was you when you were 14 in the seventies. People wore long hair in the seventies, and at fourteen you were still a child.
Please don't let a rude person's comments get to you too much Spudnik. You provide a strong male presence on this forum. You are someone I look up to and respect. |

I think there are enough decent people on Wrong Planet for it to be worthwhile.

I've got a feeling that it was someone trying to be funny - possibly didn't mean to insult you.
In any case - we all go through self doubt but really I don't think that anyone is qualified to judge someone based on looks. It just means that the person doing the judging is exceedingly ugly on the inside.

I saw that Spudnik. I haven't liked some of the things you have said here and I don't have a high opinion of you BUT that was a really nasty comment. I would have been annoyed and I don't have a low self confidence. You have every right to be angry and upset and he ought to get called out on it. I saw the photos and they looked lie any other child in the 1970's including me.
I can only presume he doesn't like you and perhaps you have said or done something to annoy or upset him. Maybe reflect on what you say to others a little and that way you can feel completely justified and in the right calling out the jerks.
