I think that's drastic and doubt I'd do something like that if I was a parent, but I'm not going to argue with the results. I doubt anyody will ever get around to doing a follow up investigation since there was never any danger to the girl.

i think it does more damage to her that her name is mentioned in articles and godknowswhereelse. if that's not humiliating what is?

the results do speak for themselves but if my mom had done that... she would be hearing about it to this day. Confused

and what's up with making her give up HEALTHY EXERCISE like basketball and track? i think that's a worse punishment. that's like telling her she can't eat her veggies til she gets better grades...wtf? don't her mama realize how rare it is that a kid WANTS to get exercise instead of just lazying it on the couch?

i feel sorry for the girl, her mom could have punished her in a non- humiliating way.

That was probably more of the schools doing as in most places to play those sports you have to keep a 2.0 GPA which it doesnt sound like she was doing.
