This is just a possibility, one that i dout will turn out to be rite, mainly becos George Lucas and Bungie have absolutley nothing to do with eech other, but there coud be a link between the Halo and Star Wars timelines...

If the theery that the Halo forerunners were actaully human, and when the Halos were originally fired Earth was the only planet far enuff out of range to only catch the tail end of the blast wave, and humans here merely regressed a few evolutionary stages as a result, rather than beeng wiped out all together, is true, then mabey, Earth wasnt the ONLY planet, mabey it was just the only planet IN THIS GALAXY. See were Im going? Mabey the forerunners were an intergalactic civilisation. Mabey the original human homeworld was, oh i dunno, Coruscant? Razz

You're jumping to an odd conclusion with absolutely no evidence for it. That's what Moreover meant when he said "Thats reaching pretty far...", frankly I agree with him.

Halo what my most disappointing game ever. What a lame repetitive shoot em up. And who still likes star wars anymore since they made the crappy new ones?

I personally like both Halo one and two and Star Wars. Halo was no more repetitive than any other FPS, I think it is one of the best FPS's ever made behind only Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

Star Wars: A New Hope was far worse than episodes one-three, though I admit I might feel different about it if I had been alive when a New Hope came out.

Apart from the possible Star Wars link, does anyone else watch stargate?
the ancient weapon designed to wipe out all life that they used to kill the replicators in the 8th seeson kinda reminded me of halo
Funny.....I thought about an FFVII to Metroid connection.....

After the meteor Sephiroth summoned was destroyed, resources from the collapsed Shinra Organization focused on Cid's space travel plans. Cid then founded the Galactic Federation, and his comrades became members of its council. The Federation began to organize a bounty hunter program to catch any form of life destined to wipe out the human race.

1,000 years later the planet came to be known as Talon IV, home to a race called the Chozos. The Chozos were believed to be evolved from the Chocobos, having shed their feathers and growing exoskeletons and more humanlike proportions. The Chozos had a way of forseeing the future, believing the incident that nearly destroyed the planet so long ago would actually happen this time.

It did.

A meteor from the planet Zebes crashed into the head shrine of the Chozo Temples. Just as the blast from the impact hit, the remaining Mako energy absorbed from the factories converted into something else: Phazon. A criminal race known as the Space Pirates knew what brought Shinra to power at its time had become even more powerful from radiation. Phazon had shown similarities to its former state, only in much more dangerous proportions.

That's when a bounty hunter named Samus Aran came into play. Her original whereabouts are unknown, but the Chozos took and raised her as "The Metal Phoenix". Could she be the resurection of Aerith?

Samus must now travel back to Talon IV to where the original meteor was supposed to hit and destroy every last bit of Phazon. But how will she reach it's core? Rumor has it that the Space Pirates had begun to reanimate a key figure to the Federation's Council.....

Ok that's a little hokey, but it could happen.
