Do you believe that it's essential to drink milk everyday?

Dont know about being essential..
but i have been raised on it and
still pour down 1/2 to 1 liter a
day, and my bones do not break
easily, that i know. Sometimes I`ve
slammed into things and was 100%
sure something had to break, got up
and was ok, not a scratch - would be
interesting to compare that with myself
not drinking milk at all, think i would be
more brittle

No, except for babies. Adults can get all the calcium and vitamins they need from pills. I worry about too much milk...afraid it will make me fat.

I drink milk not because it's good for me but because I think it's good, especially with chocolate mix added to it. Very Happy

I can't stand the stuff. I always taste an after taste that reminds me of how cows smell. Yucko. So, I almost never drink it.

The first migraine I ever had (at 8 years old) I got after drinking whole milk that had been taken straight from the cow that morning. Blehhk!

My bones don't break easily either. They measured how much calcium I had in my system once and it was really high. In fact, if I take calcium/magnesium pills I will start to puke after about three days of it.

I love milk, but when I moved to B.C. the milk had this weird funky taste, the I started getting lactose intolerant which is no fun.
The milk in the prairies taste way better, and so do the vegetables.

No, not at all. I haven't had a glass of milk in nearly 17 years.

Those of European descent have evolved to drink animal milk. It's, lyk, in our genes.

Me just like the stuff really.

Cow milk only has calcium because cows eat grass. (or they should, I doubt how much calcium there actually is in milk from grain-fed cows) The best source of calcium is dark leafy greens, it is also the most easily absorbed by our bodies (how bio-available a nutrient is, is much more important than doseage).

I don't drink milk because it's good for me; I drink it because I'm a milk addict.
