MY mom got a bizarre call with number of her hospital on the caller id. It said that my mom and me would have to join forces with the gobots to defeat the evil forces that were destroying america. SHe called the hospital and reported it and they were going to do an investigation. We were going to call the police but my mom said wait. I called my brother to ask him and he confessed to my mom that he did it using some kinda hacker trick. My mom had to call the back the hospital and say that she mistaken the wrong number.

| What do you think could have happened? I mean, it's certainly lame but how is it jeopardizing anyone? |

| Why? For having an idiot son? She had a weird call that showed up as from the hospital and reported it. Even if she hadn't caught it and had called the police, why would they hound her out of her job? |

Perhaps ... perhaps not ... the important point to consider is that even an NT would fear to take action against someone with a good lawyer. _________________ The leaders of the American automobile industry have been amazingly consistent in their management philosophy, in that they have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. |

| I have to say, I sincerely doubt that the consequences would be worse than embarrassment. And, given that there are unfair dismissal laws targeted at almost exactly these fears, then you wouldn't even need a good lawyer. |

How so? From you what said, I gather he didn't make the call from a private phone in the hospital. And your mother didn't give him any access to such a private phone _________________ Did I post an attack on you? If so, please read this before making a reply

It was odd and very strange, but your mother should be fine. It was a mistake. It is smart that she did call the hospital especially if it was person that was impersonatingt their number. Now that they know it was your brother people can mvoe on with their lives. _________________ A person that does not think he has problems already has one-Me |

In america hacking is classed as an act of terroisim now.
If you live in the usa you should explain this to him. I would hate to see anyone go to jail for life becuase of a silly prank.
Good luck nightbender , try and keep him away from hacking for his own good. _________________ Just-you is my boyfriend.

Thata a bit OTT people sometimes play pranks that go to far without realising the consequences trust me I am proof of this earlier this year I played a prank on a former friend that got way out of hand very quickly she nearly had me arrested.
I have made a serious error of judgement in part due to my AS I had a falling out with a friend a few years ago. I met a new friend a few months back and a week ago suggested she as a good way to "get back" at E to piss her off was to post a notice on an online bulletin board asking for men to talk dirty with her leaving her phone number. I unfortunately without thinking of the consequences did this. I thought it might annoy her thats all. I thought she would get a couple of phone calls, be annoyed or maybe laugh tell them to f**k off and that would be it. However she emailled me saying that she called the police (she doesn't know it was me is only guessing) and I haven't admitted it I never meant any harm to come to her just annoy her it was an immature prank gone wrong.
I am annoyed with my "friend" as she knows I have AS and the fact we don't put the consequences and actions together and yet she suggested such a stupid thing. I admit I did it and it was stupid but I never expected it to get out of hand like this. I am particularly pissed off with the girl who the prank was played on as she and her mother are well aware of AS and what it is about, her mum works in the area and it was her who suggested AS to me five years ago when we were still friends. She simply could have sent me an email/myspace message and said I don't know if it was you if it was it wasn't funny don't do it again. Even threatening to call the cops and claiming federal laws had been broken is OTT. Fortunately she didnt and it was all ok in the end but terrible judgement on my part I fully admit that. I think maybe your brother didnt think either he just thought it would be funny. |
