Getting aggrivated is something I have a problem with when it comes to gaming.

For example, I'm trying to defeat REX in Metal Gear Solid. At first I was okay...then I died. Then I started pressing the wrong buttons, selecting the wrong weapons and aiming badly. Then I start growling and glaring at my family, kicking stuff and finally shouting out that it is impossible. Generally I will also say the game is stupid, usless etc. to go along with it.

Then sometime after I stop playing (it varies between a couple of minutes to a couple of hours depending on how infuriated I get) I calm down and head back to the game to try again.

Anyone else have this rather annoying problem? Honestly, when your trying to beat a game the last thing you want is to recieve lectures on anger management Very Happy

Yeah I can get this, when I start loseing and have problems I can get agrevated and start playing worse, but from year of this hapening I have tended to learn to try and calm down and keep a level head. I infact use this sort of thing in multyplayer games, I can kind of know how to actualy make others start geting agrevated but at one particular moment it caused my brother to kick a hole in a wall. Realy it is like those people that make these games want you to sterss but it can get realy bad, often just takes a bit of thinking logicaly and calming yourself down. My last biggest problem was with the last level of GTA4 where after a lot of driving, and a motor chase along the shore where you then jumped onto a Helecopter. It was frustrating that I did all that stuff and then I was just terible at the motorbike part and I had to start over a couple of times, though I mostly just gave up for a bit and after a while of thiking logicaly (a week or so) I then tried it properly and won.

I get the same way. recently i been playing SUper Mario on my DS, and i can only play it for a good 15 min before i get really aggrevated and have to stop before the thing goes threw a window.

There is a reason my family doesnt like to play games against me. I complain endlessly when i don't win. That being said, the few times i play video games outside my family ( my bro's friends house, camp), i am silent as stone. Dont complain or anything. dont know why.

pulling aggro is a good description.

intense absoption in things is a very AS feature.

i get cross now, and not as overtly annoyed but when i was a teenager....man my room suffered.

no lectures here dude....you grow out of it.

I've done that for a long time. I really hate it when I die and die and die, and everything I try fails miserably.

I have the original Ninja Gaiden for NES (that's a big fat YES to you laypersons).

Of course, after playing that game, any aggrevation I show towards another game seems like nothing at all.

When I was younger I used to be like that. The sidequest in Majora's Mask where you have to drive away the aliens from Romani Ranch, took me for freaking ever to finish. I remember I would always get really really close then lose, and then I would throw a fit. (I was in like fifth grade to be fair) it took me almost a year to beat that stupid side quest, and when I finally did I think I cried.

A lot of bosses in Final Fantasy games have gotten me to that point too. I don't have enough patience to level up like I should, so a lot of times I'll get to a boss that's almost impossible. Like really almost impossible. Seymour Flux, Yunalesca, and the final Fujin and Raijin battle come to mind. I think I screamed "YES!" when I finally beat Yunalesca. Oh, also the final fight with Xeanort in Kingdom Hearts II took me like a month to beat, but after some serious button smashing, I finally defeated him, with me having just a fraction of health left.

I don't play video games like I used to, but Bad Girl from No More Heroes took me a couple of days to beat, other than that I haven't had much problems recently.

Only on certain games. But it happens. I get frustrated, start to yell at the game that this is ridiculous and impossible and I WANT to throw the remote through the tv, but never do, I just throw it down on the bed and yell.

The most aggravating game I've played in a long time is Medal of Honor: European Assault. There is no ability to manually save, and no checkpoints... you only get a limited number of "revives" (ie: "lives.") These are almost useless, because if you died in the middle of a firefight, you revive right there in the same hail of bullets which killed you in the first place. Then, once you run out of revives, you have to start the whole level over. I also got pretty aggravated with trying to keep my squad members alive, who have incredibly stupid AI and are always getting themselves killed... but you have to protect them in order to gain some much needed medkits. I played through most of MOHEA, but I got so fed up with dying and starting over from scratch that I never finished the game.

It has happened to me numerous times. I've played Devil May Cry 3 which, to this day, is one of the hardest games I've ever played, and I had the hardest times with the bosses in that game. I'd get beaten over and over again, and I just turn the game off, saying "All right, I've had enough of this crap. You suck." I do that whenever a game is hard and I die over and over, and then I head to someplace like gamefaqs to see what strategies I should use, and then try again.

I never get violently frustrated, but I do get frustrated with a game sometimes.

I get really frustrated when I want to win and keep dying. The most frustrating thing is trying to rank up in Halo 3. I finally got to a 40 but it was not easy. I also got extremely frustrated beating Halo 3 on Legendary.

I have recently obtained MegaMan anniversary collection, and it contains MegaMan 1-8. For those who do not know, beating a single robot master is a harsh challenge, as is getting there, but I find my aggression, if any turning into a bit more of determination, and slowing down to time my jumps. It is hard, but fun in the end. (Thank goodness for autosave.)

Yeah, I can get angry pretty easily when I'm having a hard time with a game. I used to have a problem with breaking controllers, but I haven't done that in a long time fortunately.
