| Nope, the royalties got frozen at 9 cents so iTunes will not shut down for the next 5 years at least |

I won't be able to smile for days. And people will have to punch me to stop me from saying to whiners 'I told you so'! My entire music collection is in ogg-vorbis or flac.

I hate itunes. I dont want it installed automatically, with quicktime, and I certainly dont want it changing all my file associations. I dont want the offer of safari each time either. So I removed quicktime entirely.
I briefly considered emailing them to tell them so, but.. oh well.
Bye bye itunes. _________________ davidred writes...

Apple's implementation of DRM is actually really lenient, and doesn't require any remote authentication to let you play or listen to the music you've bought. Although I agree that DRM is a horrible, draconian thing and I would rather be without it, I can still, with my purchased iTunes music, copy stuff to CD, move it between computers and do pretty much what I please with it. Just nothing that would be breaking the law in a serious way. |
