Just days after the federal government committed $85 billion of taxpayers' money to a bailout of insurance giant AIG last month, senior execs from the troubled company headed to Southern California's ultra-swanky St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach for a week of wining and dining top salespeople.

What do Barack and John have to do with AIG wasting taxpayer money?

They both voted for the bailout. Neither made sure proper oversight was in place. AIG is now majority owned by the US government and the government (congress included) is doing nothing to keep them in line.

Only one day after it was revealed that AIG had sprung for a $440,000 spa vacation shortly after getting an $84 billion government-loan bailout comes this report: The government is loaning AIG another $38 billion.

So we're going to blame the candidates for doing their job, the thing that everyone else in their position does, simply because they are in the spotlight?

Kucinich and Paul voted against the bailout. Why couldn't we have those two running against each other for president, instead of the McCain and Obama?
