With so many bright, articulate and informed people here, I was wondering if any of you have experience of speaking at conferences? If so, what credentials would you need in order to qualify for getting into conference work, and who would you need to contact to get the ball rolling? Also, what other advice would you give to novices?
For the record, I ran several searches with regards to this subject and cannot find any relevant information. What is more, I have no contacts in the world of AS, neither would I know how to go about finding and approaching them. Buy a ticket for a conference and afterwards try to get a word in with some of the speakers?
This is more of a hypothetical situation than a planned career move. I have no idea whether or not I'd even be conference material. All I know is that I can wax lyrical about a variety of subjects and have no problem getting up and speaking in front of people, and I was simply wondering if it may be possible to take it further?
