Can anyone recommend a book on how to figure out what kind of rocks I have? I've got about a bowlfull and I'd like to know what they are . Thanks!
I don't like that the only labels I can put on them are "sparkly" or "white" |

I don't know of any book in particular.
If they're sparkly, they probably have either quartz or mica in them. White could be a lot of things.
Can you post pictures of them? _________________ Be who you are & say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter & those who matter don't mind. - Dr. Seuss

You might want to go on web sites or find books related to mineralogy. _________________ When you need something, that's a responsibility, that only an adult...of my maturity...Bunnies!!!

Actually, my major is Geography/Urban Planning now, but geology is my minor. _________________ When you need something, that's a responsibility, that only an adult...of my maturity...Bunnies!!!

Nearest library should have some illustrated books.

| I guess I wasn't finding any books because I was looking up "book about rocks" or something to that affect and I was finding rock and roll music and the likes. My battery is charging but if anyone wants to peek I'll have some pics up soon. |

It resembles bone a litttle but...maybe some kind of sandstone..?
looks a little like it has been exposed to scorching heat in a way,
but that might just be a resemblance |
