I finally got Futurama on DVD and now I'm thinking that I have alot of TV shows on DVD now.

I have:
* The Original Twilight Zone: All 156 Episodes
* The X-Files: All 202 Episodes
* Futurama: All 72 Episodes
* The Simpsons: Seasons 1-5
* South Park: Seasons 1-4
* The Micallef Program
* Best of Shaun Micallef & TV Special
* The Office: All Episodes & Xmas Special
* Red Dwarf Boxset: Seasons 1-4
* The Best of Late Show Champagne Edition (Oz)
* Kolchak: The Nightstalker & The Night Strangler TV Movies
* Little Britain: Seasons 1 & 2
* Mr Bean: All Episodes
* The Footy Show Best Of
* Sliders: Season 1 & 2
* The Outer Limits: All Episodes
* The Adventures of TinTin: All Episodes
* The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy TV Series
* Tenacious D TV Specials & Shorts
* Extras: Season 1

There's others but I can't remember them off the top of my head. This is why I don't watch much television as I've got all I need to DVD. Is anyone else like this?

The Office , Red Dwarf, I love your taste! But where do you find the money for all this? I want the Tintin boxset too.

The other day I picked up all four box-sets of my all-time favorite show, SCTV. The four volumes contain between them all 39 of the 90-minute shows they did for NBC in 1981-'83. (The early 30-minute syndicated shows will be released next.) All four volumes are loaded with extra features, and also something I've never seen before -- many DVDs have hidden bonus features but the SCTV Volume 3 box has a hidden *bonus disc*!!! It's actually an audio disc of recordings of vintage live performances from the Second City theaters in Chicago and Toronto, and it goes back to the '70s with people like Belushi, Aykroyd, Fred Willard and many more! I also picked up a 4-disc box-set of THE DAVID STEINBERG SHOW, a 1976 talk-show spoof (pre-Larry Sanders!) with an amazing roster of guest stars (can't wait to see the Ethel Merman episode!) and a repertory group of regulars consisting of several future SCTV stars, including Andrea Martin, Martin Short and John Candy. I've never seen these shows and boy, am I looking forward to watching them!!!

And speaking of the SCTV people, I also got all three of the Christopher Guest comedies with Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy (among others) -- WAITING FOR GUFFMAN, BEST IN SHOW and A MIGHTY WIND.

Also in my TV-on-DVD collection are: Seasons 1 thru 5 of I LOVE LUCY (Season 6 hasn't been released yet), "best-of" box-sets of THE LUCY SHOW (30 episodes) and HERE'S LUCY (24 episodes), Seasons 1 and 2 of BEWITCHED, Season 1 of THE NANNY, THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON: THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION, and of course the new 5-disc box-set BARBRA STREISAND: THE TELEVISION SPECIALS.

There's no point in denying it...I'm a DVD whore!!!

Thanks for the compliment, only a few more months before I can buy Red Dwarf V-VIII boxset. The movie might come out then.

Well, I worked for a big beaurcratic telecommunications provider for a few years that paid me more money than I knew what to do with (although it was well deserved, as the job sent me crazy [as if i needed help]). I was able to buy like 15 DVD's a week during that time, so I got alot then. Now because I don't pay rent, I spend the majority of my money on DVDs (I don't really have anything else to waste it on). It is an addiction if ever there was one. Now I need a new cupboard because I have them perilously stacked like 30 deep on top of my other one. I have 2 but they're not big enough. I want my father to make me one.

Wow, I wish I had your problem with money! I have to scrimp and save and ponder and weigh the pros and cons before buying even one DVD, let alone a box set, LOL.

As for TV, all I have are "Monk" Seasons 1 and 2. I have some anime series, too, and am hoping to get "Firefly" for Christmas.

MJS,
I love TV on DVD! I have all X-Files Seasons, Smallville 1-4, Without A Trace Season One, My So Called Life, 24 Seasons 1-3, Veronica Mars Season One, Six Feet Under & The Sopranos 1-5 etc etc.

Working for Best Buy helps me to afford these T.V. Gems. Smile

I've collected some interesting TV shows on DVD too.

I have the entire series of Are You Being Served? and Keeping Up Appearances.

I have M*A*S*H seasons 1-8.

I have The Champions, all 30 episodes.

I have season 1 of Bernie Mac.

Seasons 1-5 of King of the Hill.

I have some French and Saunders DVDs.

Can't remember what else off hand, but some great stuff all the same.

I can't say that I'm really like this, I have a lot of TV shows that I WANT to start collecting, but actually own very little

Right now, I'm collecting Batman:The Animated Series on DVD, and I have one season of Curb Your Enthusiasm

I bought the complete 'Firefly' series about a month ago after seeing 'Serenity' in theatres. Catchiest theme song ever.

I second that, I loved the cartoon TV series that was on the afternoon. I've seen Season 1 here in Oz for something like $19.95 AUS which I thought was a bargain but didn't have my big bags of cash with dollar signs on the outside of them with me that day (kidding of course).

I have a feeling they'll get re-released after all the episodes have come out in one boxset with the tv movies.

If you have the same (though different region #) DVD box set released in America, they're not the complete episodes. But for you sake, I hope you don't.

To my knowledge, the full-length episodes have only ever been released on VHS in the US. This is the only reason I know they're not the full episodes on DVD, having seen the VHS versions. I recognized where parts were missing and also realized they ended sooner than I expected them to. Confused

No I checked this out before I bought them, I think that's also why they're re-releasing the boxset here again for like the third time.
