This is one of my favorite shows of all time! The characters were brilliant as were the plots and there was an awesome amount of cultural and movie trivia in every episode. Anyone else a fan? _________________ Yakko Warner: We protest you calling us "little kids". We prefer to be called "vertically-impaired pre-adults".
Yakko: We'd love to stay here and count our brain cells as they die one-by-one.
Dot: But we can't.

| that was a great show. its funny how i totally forgot it even existed until now. Now I can think of the characters in my head, but it would jog my memory a lot to actually see it again! |

| It really was. Cartoons nowadays try to go for the what I term "edgy" animation. I saw one on a commercial today that looked like a bunch of paper cut outs! Animaniacs was near the end of an era. |

I still love Animaniacs a lot as the show is even more interesting now that I know more of the shows referenced on it as well as a lot of the subtle humor that I missed when I was younger
Selected Quotes from the Animaniacs:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yakko Warner: We protest you calling us "little kids". We prefer to be called "vertically-impaired pre-adults".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yakko: We'd love to stay here and count our brain cells as they die one-by-one.
Dot: But we can't.
Wakko: I think we deserve a spanking, right on our fanny
Dot: Nice decorating! Let me guess - Satan?
Miss Flamiel: We'll move on to science. Dot, what can you tell me about the great scientists of the nineteenth century?
Dot: They're all dead.
Miss Flamiel: No no no!
Dot: All right. They're all living.
Miss Flamiel: No no no!
Yakko Warner: Well, now we're getting into philosophy.
Yakko: Citizens of Anvilania, I stand before you, because if I was behind you, you couldn't see me.
Satan: And now prepare to suffer indescribable torment.
Yakko: Another Bob Hope special?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wakko: Hey, mister, what's this?
Ivan Bloski: A vomit bag.
Wakko: Ah, poo. I got gypped. There's none in here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so Brain, but if Jimmy cracks corn and nobody cares, why does he keep doing it?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brain: Promise me something, Pinky. Never breed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brain: It must be inordinately taxing to be such a boob.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pinky: Egad. You astound me, Brain.
Brain: That's a simple task, Pinky.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pinky: Whatcha doin' over there, Brain?
Brain: Contemplating your afterlife, Pinky.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slappy: The pleasure's been all yours, I'm sure.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slappy: Look, have I ever lied to you before?
Skippy: You said keno is legal in Burbank.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brain: I am not devoid of humor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brain: I'd say puberty was inordinately kind to you.
Satan: Beyond these doors is an agony worse than all others. You will remain in here for eternity listening to... whiny protest songs from the Sixties.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Nurse: How come I always get the booby prize?
Dot: I'm not touching that one! |

Personally, I hated Animaniacs. It was about three losers who ran around insulting people and acting like idiots.
I could never watch that show again, and I wouldn't be missing anything.
It wasn't even a step up from Looney Toons, which was the -worst animated series ever-.
As a matter of fact, it was a step -below- Looney Tunes.
I'd rather the WB corporation had never bothered to air that show in the first place. MAF, a show being on the WB channel is a -sure sign- that it isn't any good.
Personally, I prefer stuff that's funny and intelligent.
Animaniacs just didn't cut it, at least for me. |

While I respect your opinion, I disagree. I found Animaniacs to be much more funny and intelligent than a cursory examination would show, expecially because of all of the cultural comedic aspects that were included as well as the Warners, who by nature were goofballs, not the "three losers who insulted people and acted like idiots" view that you claim. Their initial havoc was more good-natured, wreaked because they enjoyed it, with a non-stop barrage of slapstick comedy and wit. However once an individual attempted to harm them, they went all out on them. Their brand of comedy can be described as an updated Bugs Bunny and the Marx Brothers style humor.

Unknown. I used to love Looney Toons when I was a little kid. _________________ Yakko Warner: We protest you calling us "little kids". We prefer to be called "vertically-impaired pre-adults".

Looney Tunes are the best. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one who prefers Looney Tunes over Disney cartoons. I love my slapstick humor (a la Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote) like a fat kid loves cake! _________________ I've discovered as I've grown up that life is far more complicated than you think it is when you're a kid. - Rachel McAdams |
