I have seen a lot of newcomers to the site express that they thought they were the only one over 40. This is so not ture! I started this thread here instead of getting to know each other because I want the people who have been here awhile as well as people just coming here to be able to see each other.
OK, show yourselves! You are not alone! _________________ Raised by Wolves

54 - female....I still feel like a kid in my mind. I found out about Asperger's about 8 months ago and I now understand why I do things "weird". I get frustrated really easy and then meltdown. My mom has alway talked about me biting when I was 2-4. I wanted so hard to be friends with the kids on the playground but really didn't know how. I stood back and watched. I guess I bit, to get them to notice me??? Took some huge a$$ older boy, biting me on the cheek, about age 4, to make me quit. I've always been a loner. I would like to have a dx so my kids and grandkids can get help. _________________ *42* |

| I'm 42. I find that I can get away with more idiosyncratic behaviour and a more individualistic take on life, the older I get. |

So I did a frontal takedown, by going into him quickly when he was expecting me to hesitate and do some body language thing or negotiate or whatever but lacking social skills I skipped that part. I dropped under his punch, grabbed his knees and dumped him sideways. Then I locked him up by putting one of my arms behind one of his knees and the other behind his head and locked my hands together, rocking him back so both of his shoulders touched the ground. A quick three count and I released him, jumping up and backing away a few steps. |
Those sound like some sweet kung fu moves. Why didn't I think of that? _________________ !x75 |

I'm 41 and recently diagnosed. The advantage of finally being diagnosed is that when people ask me, "What's wrong with YOU?" I can tell them. _________________ Cato

Hardly kung fu Tho I have picked up a little martial arts here and a little there over the years. Had very few real fights in my life. I am mostly a pacifist. An angry pacifist, but a pacifist nonetheless. _________________ "The voyage of discovery lies not in finding new landscapes but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust |
