It is a stupid question, because God would not ask anyone to be the Anti-Christ. Only Satan would do that.

Unless God is everything...

I think we have just answered the question of evil.

I would ask, "Please, Lord, can't I come back as Kevv729?"

Okay, i might be stating the obvious here, but i will anyway.

I suspect that theoretically god probably asked lucifer to be the sign of evil. Or something like that. Or asked the snake to tempt eve. And both the snake and lucifer would know that in this request, they could never reveal that it was a request by god so that god appeared pure and good. So they must forever be shunned as evil, and god never look upon them again to put up an act for man to see. It is their duty to be the villians. Their duty to god.

If i was asked to be the anti-christ by god, i would have to walk in the shadows for all of eternity, hated by all, just to put on an act for man. A very heavy duty. Which is why I would be honored that god would have that much trust and confidence in my ability to do it. I graciously accept.

In reply to suggestions that God would not ask this kind of thing, did he not, in the OT, ask Abraham so sacrifice his son, Isaac?

Btw, can you answer 'yes', and not end up in Hell? Surely answering yes is the ultimate act of faith?

Only one word suffices to that: Amen.

I have recently heard that we unearthed a gospel of Judas.
Now that is a case of someone who had guts.
Betrayer or not, that act must have ripped the insides out of the guy.

According to the Bible, God creates Evil, and Satan is nothing more than His Quality Control department.

The idea that Satan is some independent god of evil is an invention of Christian tradition, rather than of the Bible.

What's with people saying that it wouldn't be God asking, but Satan instead? No. Go read the question again. It very clearly says that God is the one asking the question. If Mithrandir had wanted to know the answer to the question "If a powerful extradimensional entity asked you to become the Anti-Christ, and you thought it was God but maybe it's Satan or "Bob" or someone else, then what would you say?" then he would've asked that. Stop wussing out and answer the question that was asked, people! Or start your own stinkin' poll.

As for me, I answered "Yes," because, well, I figure I'd make a pretty nice Anti-Christ. And I'd probably goof everything up, get LaVey followers fleeing the CoS in packs and what-not. That'd be for the best, right? What, like God would ask someone competent to become the Anti-Christ?

Dont be so hard on yourself, I think you will be a great antichrist.
Are you thinking a bunch of people talking philosophy all the time?
Sure beats killing people, sometimes.
