|
|
I just found out the coolest way to start up a conversation with a member of the desired sex- hijack their umbrella on a rainy day! Just say, "It's pouring, and I either need to share your umbrella or steal it. I'm desperate," and start walking beside them!
Oh well. Maybe it's a bad idea and I'm the only person in the world that would let someone do that. ((I'm not saying they were flirting- in fact I refuse to believe they were, it was a monsoon out there today, but it is a good idea nonetheless.)) |

I actually think that would work. I have seen people do similar things and they end up dating the person.

I think it would work in some places - depends where you live (city/town). |

| Quote: | Bus stop, wet day, she`s there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella
All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine
Chorus:
Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she`d shopped and she would show me what she bought
Other people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same
Verse 2:
That`s the way the whole thing started
Silly but it`s true
Thinkin` of a sweet romance
Beginning in a queue
Came the sun the ice was melting
No more sheltering now
Nice to think that that umbrella
Led me to a vow
[repeat chorus]
[repeat verse 1]
[repeat instrumental; fade] |
Gawd, I hate that song. |

That is a clever way to approach someone without being weird. _________________ I hate hearing, "you don't seem autistic/aspie". I have a nagging suspicion most people have no idea what autistic or aspie "seem" like in the first place... |

I'd respect someone who tried to get my attention in a "weird" straitforward way more than a person who tried to do it in a casual, subtle way. _________________ And as always, these are simply my worthless opinions.
