Do you get along okay with your parents?
I used to completely isolate myself away from my family. I'd go days without saying more than a word to someone else. My mother and me would always argue and fight. But lately I've gotten a lot closer to them all and I'm happy about that. =]
I was wondering what other people's relationship with their parents are like. |

I only get along with my dad. My mom acts like I'm three and my brother treats the dog better than me.

I never knew my dad but I do get along with my mom, I'm a bit of a momma's boy but I don't care. The only thing is, I feel I have to hide myself even from her at times and feel I can never be myself anywhere except for right here on WP.

| Me and my mom are kinda close but I still dont tell her about my personal problems because Im afraid she'll get parental on me. Me and my dad are really not that close, we have a mostly professional relationship. The only real incentive we have to talk to each other is about my schedule or the things I have to do. |

I'm fairly close to my parents but in the same breath I don't tell them very much about me at all. I don't really like telling them about my problems or my social life etc because I don't really like them knowing. (I don't get up to any mischief or anything like that I just tend to keep myself to myself). I am very close to my sister though and I tell her everything.
Also I never bring up anything to do with my aspergers to them because I think that they think I'm completely normal now and that my asperger's hardly affects me, but it still does a fair bit. (e.g. they have no idea that I am a member of this website). |

I'm close to my mum but we argue a lot because we spend too much time together.  Not quite as many arguements as before though.

It's quite up and down, sometimes I get on really well them and I tell them nearly everything but these past few years I've had loads of rows with my mum, nearly everyday!

It depends. If we're in a good mood, then yes. But my autism sometimes gets in the way and ruins our moods. We try not to argue, though.
