I don't want to be racist here, but I'm just asking about a Jewish subculture known as JAP's (Jewish American Princesses). If an aspie finds out that this person he admires is a JAP, that could be a bad thing. JAP's seem to go around and flirt way too often, but are they open or closed-minded? Sorry, but sometimes I just feel bothered when said group of people tends to have a popular yet bad reputation. |

From what I've seen this group of people does seem to be aware of the fact that they are seen as uber-superficial and has a good-natured sense of humor about it... they don't seem to be too ashamed of that perception or interested in changing it, in fact I think a good number of them take some pride in it.
I'm not sure what your question is though _________________ Join the ASAN social groups in NYC & NJ!

Well let me simplify this: Are JAP's good or bad girls? I keep hearing they are bad, but a lot of internet junkies say they want to go out with them..... |

Well sometimes they seem to exclude people a lot and be very cliqueish. However, I have had some who tried to be nice to me and were generally nice people. It really depends on the girl. Thing is, even if this particular girl is nice to you, don't expect her friends to necessarily be nice. _________________ Join the ASAN social groups in NYC & NJ!

All generalizations are bad (including this one).
Although the term "Jewish American Princess" has been around for decades, it's really just another term for "high maintenance romantic partner". It's not exclusive to girls, or Americans, or Jewish people. It could be used to refer to anyone who needs constant demonstrations of affection (often in the form of expensive gifts) from their romantic partner in order to feel appreciated. My Chinese boyfriend fell well within the JAP stereotype. _________________ What would Flying Spaghetti Monster do? |

I generally find them to be annoying airheaded shallow superficial idiots.
The vast majority of them are secular, which is yet another aspect about them I dislike.
I can't afford one, and if I could I wouldn't want one.

Oh, so in other words it's just more of a subculture, not specifically related to Jews? And also you need to buy them really expensive gifts to make them feel appreciated?? Wow....talk about being spoiled rotten...... |

I'd say thats true, in my (predominantly Jewish) high school, there were at least two non-Jewish girls in the JAP group (including one Asian and one Armenian girl) _________________ Join the ASAN social groups in NYC & NJ!

My last JAP girlfriend was the reason I got diagnosed.
She was very materially spoiled, and very emotionallyabusive.
They do tend to be a lot more sexually liberal then Christian girls.
In the end, I couldn't afford her both materially and emotionally, but boy was she fun in bed. |
