I was looking at a picture of Bioshock, and it occurred to me that the game would make an awesomely spooky movie. There have been of course many games made into movies. Like Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, etc....
But what about games that ought to be made into movies or even TV series? Fallout would make a good one too. But Bioshock has to be my pick.

On the flipside, what about movies that should be made into games? I think Phantasm would be cool.

I'm generally against the idea of game-to-movie adaptations, seeing as how most of them (even the ones not made by "ze real genius" Uwe Boll) turn out as excrement, but...

...theoretically, assuming these movies DIDN'T turn out as excrement, then I would say F.E.A.R. and Half-Life, since they both have interesting stories.

I definetly remember something about a Bioshock movie, which sounds great to me, I realy had trouble with the game as I think I couldnt get the hang of keeping a good amount of resources and taking Bigdaddies wby mostly unsportmanlikely continuely respawning. But I kind of like the story of Bioshock and some of the creepy atmosphere. I will stick to my wish aslo by saying a good Halo movie as I am a fan of the franchise. And who knows maybe Ellder Scrolls or Fallout could be a fun watch, with no real need to bastersise a game plot with instead a more original plot.

Myst could be a good movie and so could The Legend of Zelda, but they would have to be really well done (like The Lord of the Rings).

I've heard that they're planning to make a Warcraft movie but I don't know when.

Sins Of A Solar Empire could become an interesting movie, perhaps giving more background on the Vasari.

I always imagine Portal would make a great horror flick similar to 'the Bunker.'

I think Killzone has potential to be a excellent sci-fi war flick if they got the right people to work on it. Get a good director like Ridley Scott or Alfonso Cuarón, and I think it could go on to be something really epic.

And Uncharted would also make for a very fun flick as well.

Neverwinter Nights
Ultima

King's Quest
Leisure Suit Larry (Years ago, Danny DeVito was attached to this project).

Phantasmagoria 1 & 2 both would make much better horror films than the trash currently being produced.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - heck even if it was all CGI or animation with voiceovers...

I think Halo would actually make a really good movie. From what I've seen of it, it already seems really "Hollywood", so I doubt they'd be able to screw it up much. Plus, they know if they did screw it up, rabid fans would crush them to death beneath a heaping pile of XBox and XBox accessories.

Just too bad that I don't really care for Halo or "hard" sci-fi Rolling Eyes

Can't think of anything else that wouldn't be tossed immediately onto the pile with the rest of the bad videogame movies Mad Though I really, really liked Super Mario Bros., and even DOOM wasn't too shabby Embarassed

This one is a lot easier on the eyes, is an actual real movie, and probably just as cheesy Wink

No idea when they're releasing it for home viewing, though.
