I honestly don't think it is.
Do any of you who preach for all of us that we shouldn't be cured have something against people starting a family, getting married, making friends, etc.
You seem to be ticking some pro-cure people off.
However, I think abortion on all people is wrong, but if they want a cure, then I say go.
It's really a good thing that people are still researching Autism.
Some of you on the extreme anti-cure side oughta learn something from these fellas. |

| I don't think being a NT is a bad thing. but I don't want your "cure" either. but having said that im all for further research into providing medication and help for some of the potential disabilities that can come with autism such as severe sensory problems and stuff like that. |

I agree with you jimmister. I can't stand these militant gits that think all NT's are idiots and they all hate autistics and blah blah blah. Although the pro-cure extremists can be just as rediculous about their views. I'm in the middle, I personally don't want to be cured but don't blame the ones that do and I don't see myself as being superior/inferior to NT's, bloody stupid actually what's the point in that word anyway?? _________________ Thank you captain obvious! Wow....this requires Two replies, one for the posted topic, and one the topic posted.
Oh, so is being an NT a bad thing?
1. Depends on how much value you place on opinions derived from self-importance.

2. Flaming the flamer will only feed and flatter the flatulent flames of the flamboyant flamingos.
That being said, trying to put 1 and 2 together seems a bit odd. |

Being NT isn't bad. Neither is being AS.
Why do people feel the need to believe that one or the other is superior?
I think there shouldn't be a cure, because if there was and we didn't choose to take it, ignorant people would say we were being abnormal on purpose. It's IGNORANCE that should be cured, not AS. _________________ 'Tvoi plastinki slushala ja,

| I think a cure should be optional. Those that want it should be able to get it, but others shouldn't have to have it. |

What is a cure?
If you found some aggressive alpha male jock football star and offered to make him "normal" would he accept?
If you found some brilliant but neurotic composer would he want to become "normal" if it meant the loss of his creativity?
I don't think so. |

This is coming from someone who is apparently 45 years old.
Gina-ghettoprincess and I should set our alleged age to 54 and 57 for a week, and see what sort of response we get. _________________ "Purity is for drinking water, not people" - Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. |

| I can't tell, but society seems to hate me for being an aspie, so i see no reason to dislike, hate or think bad of them, even though i know that there is nice Nt's who accept aspies, but they are an EXTREME minority, maybe they're as rare as aspies............ |

That would indeed be an interesting experiment. People sometimes use my age as an excuse not to take me seriously, which is rather annoying. _________________ 'Tvoi plastinki slushala ja,

| Actually, I thought he was encouraged by the fact that a fourteen year old was talking such very good sense... hence his "sudden hope." I don't think it was a criticism. Of course, I could have missed something... it wouldn't be the first time. |

I know, I didn't mean him, I meant other people. _________________ 'Tvoi plastinki slushala ja,

I don't think that being NT would be a bad thing..I think it would make a lot of things easier.
I could still be an artist...I would just be an artist who knew how to drive and didn't have a freaking meltdown every time she tripped an electric breaker like I just did... . Maybe I would be able to do something with my talent and not be so slow and disorganized...Not all NTs are bad...not all aspies are good.... _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/MsPuppetrina

It's what people do all around the world, it's in our nature, but I'm not saying that it excuses the bullying.
Being NT isn't bad, neither is having AS. If a person wants to make a big deal out of it then it says more about them than the labels. _________________ I = Vegetarian!
