Well, I personally like it.
James Cameron is king of the world.
I'm not a huge fan of those sorts of films (still can't bring myself to watch Gone with the Wind) but I did enjoy it.
I even like the B-Grade sequel (or is it the "original" and Titanic is a prequel); "Raise the Titanic" where they manage to bring the ship back up and it comes up in one piece...

which one? There is several films made on this theme. But I assume you mean the James Cameron one from 1997
If so, its cool and impressive and with many classical lines and scenes but after have seen it a few times you know it inside out
It was quite some years now since I saw it last time
I compared it with other films made about Titanic

Wow... that's a pretty impressive bit of engineering.
LOL, that is a really strange film. Such a weird mood in it somehow. Whats most impressive is that its made BEFORE the real ship was found
Its a science fiction really. It arrives to New York at last as a wreck, haha!

Like it or not, Titanic is iconic.
From the King of the world scene to the song...
...even to the old lady's voice, which has popped up everywhere from South Park to Britney Spears.
I was in the car with a mate of mine and our windows were steamy (no...nothing happening, just a lot of talking) and he said as he wiped his hand down the window... "we're having a titanic moment".
BTW: Has anyone seen thumbtanic? The titanic moment in that is awesome.

LOL! How funny! That video started up a way long YouTube session for me this day. I saw a bunch of fun stuff related to Titanic
The coolest one was this one
but your links gave me the idea to bring on this impressive "Titanic part 2" from the beginning
A wild idea of an continueing story of the first film

Take her to sea Mr. Murdoch. Let's see how fast we can wreck this tub -- Capt. Smith.
I thought it was "Take her to sea Mr. Murdoch,Lets stretch her legs"
but I can be wrong. Its not the first classical line I keep saying that later turns out to be completely wrong... _________________ I am female and 35, these are My words: *be yourself and try your best*

Right, so what is your opinion about the film? You like it or not?
Btw, have anyone been to a Titanic Exhibition?
Its quite a cool experience if you are a bit intrested. You get to see real pieces from the real ship, its amazing
And there is even a real iceberg that you can touch to get the feeling of the cold water... _________________ I am female and 35, these are My words: *be yourself and try your best*

I guess I'm mixed opinion about it.
I can see how incredibly cheesy it is but I didnt think it was THAT bad.
I remember how people were nuts about this film when it first came out. Now it's like everyone's forgotten it. And sometimes when I do rewatch it I laugh and realize that was the film was far more cheesier than I remembered it!
