Again, this is a rational question.

Personally, if I didn't know something about a topic, I will look it up. I knew nothing about gamma ray bursters for example, until I looked it up.

Now, outside of the realm of astronomy, I am talking about people. If you don't know someone who do we perceive them? Just ask them questions about their personalities and get an honest answer which brings me to another topic. Why aren't people honest? Why don't they follow exactly what the say?

THey speak in cues and nonverbals, why don't they tell it straight? People should know that I am a person who likes honesty more then emotions..

Humans are emotional beings, communicating with feelings and subtleties. That is how it is.

Humans aren't rational. Partly because of the inner emotional landscape, partly because "rational" is more subjective than we'd like to admit.

In regards to the passage in bold above - how do you expect anyone to know something like that about you, without either you expressly informing them? From what I have observed and had explained, people constantly make decisions about what information to share and how to do so - for a variety of reasons. How do you rationalize the expectation that they should know exactly how to tailor and provide that information to you, then?
