^^ Yaye greetings Followthereaper. I believe may online games are very happy. I do enjoy plaiyng World of Warcraft and The Lord of the Rings Online. ^^ Of these, I believe World of Warcraft has perhaps more Player versus Player options, yet I very much enjoy the crating system of Lord of the Rings, and also enjoy roleplaying in Lord of the Rings. _________________ My Happy Blog: http://thoughtsofawanderingpixie.blogspot.com/ |

| Yeah, WoW and LotR are the big ones at the moment. Star Wars: The Old Republic is looking to be the next good one when it comes out in . . . 2010 i think. As far as FPSs go, i think Battlefield 2142 (i think its called) and other timeline based FPSs are doing well. Kinda limited, I know, but more is yet to come. PS - beware, some MMOs are so bad, theyre not worth checking out (RF Online, etc). Be sure to read reviews (IGN.com or gamefaqs.com) before making a purchase. |

| i agree with Tomasu, the crafting system is pretty fun in LOTRO. I'm on the 10 day free trial and might buy it if i can fix my lag problem ( although I'm almost sure its graphics card related, thus not fixable on a laptop). |

| I actually like Final Fantasy XI very much. But that game has a much steeper learning curve than most other MMOs. And it is impossible to get anywhere in that game by yourself. Ack. |

| I play World of Warcraft and Guildwars. They are both really good games. World of Warcraft seemed easier to play when I first started and Guildwars seems a bit harder but Guildwars has really good graphics. Either way you go those are both really good games. |

Word of warning about Entropia Universe, it's not a good way to make money. It's not a bad game, but it's also not a great one, and in order to make it fun, you basically have no choice but to spend money on it. You can make money with it, but it's a more efficient use of your time just hanging out on a street corner begging passersby for change if money is what you're looking for.
As for other MMOs, I'm a huge fan of City of Heroes, and will likely continue to play it until the end of time. I'm also looking forward to Star Wars: The Old Republic with great anticipation.
WoW is an okay game, though its primary appeal is that it can run really well on any PoS machine.
LotRO is a good solid game, though there's nothing really special about it.
DDO is a great one to play right now, because it's free. |

Final fantasy 11 is in my opinion the best MMO and best video game ever made. However the game has lost some of it's magic with the release of some expansions. It is more a laid back game based on strategy and team work. The cool down for spells and actions is a lot longer than games like WoW so you don't actually have to keep spamming. Also 99% of the people who play that game are very nice people. (I found there was quite a few idiots in WoW). But the game requires lots of patience and some of the items will take you years of playing to get. (Maybe it's gotten easier). Back when I was playing some epic weapons and armors were so hard to get that only around 5 people in the world had each of them. Anyways I think it's a great game
Also D&D online has become free to play. I am not a D&D fan and never tried the game but it could be an option to consider since it became free. |

WoW, but everything looks like you're stuck in disneyland. Otherwise it's good.
Guild Wars, but I find it to be a battle between enjoying the game (and it is pretty good), vs the invisible walls, unsurmountable everything.
Diablo 3, though I haven't checked it yet, if it's anything like Diablo 2 it'll be awesome. |

| MapleStory - not the most newbie friendly game but once you get the hang of it, it's really fun. Also you have alot of things to do here. |

I'm playing Champions Online at the moment, and currently enjoying it more than I did Anarchy, EVE (either time I tried it), WoW, AoC or LOTRO, although I haven't reached "end-game" yet, which is supposed to be weak at present. I like the freedom that the character frameworks provide, and the range of travel powers, which are easily available. It also doesn't take itself very seriously, which is good, and doesn't have to try and fail to convey a world (which AoC and LOTRO do IMO; they're far, far too compressed to be "real"). It's also quite low on grinding (at least, you don't have to grind to advance).
I avoid PVP as much as possible, so can't rate any of them on that, apart from EVE. EVE should be good, but there's nothing to explore (one zillion empty systems, all full of the same nothing) and it's very much an "old boys social club", sadly.
Also playing Urban Dead again. _________________ "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." |

I don't know about many MMOs, but lately I have been looking at them and 2010 I might jump into one or two of them.
APB, Dust 514, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars: Old Republic, Infinity: The Quest for Earth are the ones I have been looking at jumping into in 2010. As many of them are going to have Free to Play setup or are undecided. |

One of the best things about WoW and what make it so successful is that Blizzard has a very nice habit of allowing gamers to modify such a large portion of the game letting you customize a huge part of it. This is in fact my only complaint so far with Champions Online, a new superhero MMO that just came out that's a ton of fun with the combat and power system, but you can't change the UI. Sooo frustrating. It's also one of the prime reasons I haven't gotten into many other MMO's. I'm hoping to Gaia that Star Wars: The Old Republic has a customizable LUA/XML file folder for modders.
But I do suggest you try out Champions Online. It has the most comprehensive character creator EVER and what you can do with it is simply amazing. And it's combat system is like playing an action game, quite fun and fast paced. That and being able to fly or teleport or super jump/run at lv 5 is just win. _________________ Divided from emotion by the intellect, how does one determine feelings are true when you "think" you feel it? |
